My aviation experience, like most posters on here, I thought, may have fallen short of what they were looking for due to the lack of immediate gratification one gets when a phone call comes shortly after resume submission but seems I was psyching myself out for no reason as in the end they did call. For those of you worry-warts like me, the advice here is sound, stop worrying as Atlas is good at diversifying. Here are my stats:
~5,000TT; 3,000+ PIC; ~500jet; 1,700+ PIC121 turboprop.

This is good to know. I did not anticipate hearing that approx. 90% of deadheads are typically on Atlas aircraft. From previous threads it sounded as though international deadhead in business was more common. What are most of you guys seeing? Is the above scenario very common, or not at all??

I went to whe Woman in Aviation Int. conference where I was able to meet DB face to face while submitting my resume. Like Flygirl I too received the early invitation to update my resume/PAQ just before the window opened and took months before they finally called, which, by the way, came completely unexpected! I had stopped dwelling on it and taken this forums advice to relax and be patient and only after I submitted to that frame of mind, I got the call, so like I said, invaluable advice

I submitted in August, also stopped thinking about Atlas and was completley shocked when they called. They called around Sept 28ish, interview in October. I was told this was the last INTERVIEW class of 2012. Not sure what is on the horizon for training classes.

As far as interviews...yeah, HR told me that they don't plan to hold any more interviews for the rest of the year. Here's hoping for 2013.

Oh yikes, ok scratch that Marriott thing. Turns out its not quite as crew rate compatible as was advertised so change of plan, I'll be at the Comfort Inn instead.

Oh, and I updated my resume every 3-4 weeks after the initial submission. From what I can gather however, is that they highly value face to face time so not a bad idea to chase conferences that they attend. DB mentioned that there were no other scheduled conferences for Atlas this year. Unless there is something at the beginning of next year, I imagine they more than likely be at the WIAI conference again.
It does seem that the face to face is valuable, which has been my experience everywhere I've worked. I'm hoping to work out a visit to the CP's office here in ANC.Good luck with the interview!

The deadhead situation is different for every base and even the lines within that base. Some bases deadhead very little. Some a lot. Some mostly on domestic airlines, some mostly on company, and some on foreign. For me, recently, it has been on our freighters.
And, yes, when it is full, it kind of sucks.

If you get in time the day before for dinner, the Thai place across from the Atlas building was pretty good IMO.
