Atlas Air Hiring
#4581
The deadhead situation is different for every base and even the lines within that base. Some bases deadhead very little. Some a lot. Some mostly on domestic airlines, some mostly on company, and some on foreign. For me, recently, it has been on our freighters.
And, yes, when it is full, it kind of sucks.

These last two weeks were a bit screwed up because I had "Recurrent Flight Training" (PT's new name) in the middle of a trip. Award was a ticket to CVG, operate to ICN, Cathay to HKG, operate to SYD and then 3 days of deadheading on company planes SYD-PVG, PVG-ANC and ANC- LAX followed by AA to MIA. Of course they found a company flight ICN to HKG and I ended up operating back to PVG and ANC. After the RFT it was US to CVG and step right on to a company flight to ANC. One leg out of ANC tomorrow and a ticket home the next day.
I'm holding Gold on AA, never reach any level on US. Now if they roll together...
By the time we finished the de-brief the grill was shut down. Talked with one instructor, he's understanding was new hire training was going to slow down for a bit, they just needed "to catch up." I don't know how long it's been taking for new hires to get their OE.

One of the FNGs I met yesterday said one of the ladies in Training Center (OE Scheduler "M") told them they won't have too long to wait for OE.
I've met several new guys from the last two classes...
For those interested, it is a good mix of men, women, corporate, regional, and military aviators...seems to me a good group that is working together to make it through the pressure cooker!
Good luck.

I tried both and was told that the airline has to book the hotel to get the rate. But it's ok, the Comfort Inn has free breakfast, Internet, shuttle service to the airport, and sounds like is walking distance from the training center and a Thai place, what more could a person want I hear it's about a $5 cab ride to the Marriott if one wishes to go meet the Atlas crew staying there. It's the best of all worlds I think.

Got a call from 914-701-xxxx on Friday afternoon, around 4p Eastern time. Unfortunately, I was away from my phone ):
Has anyone who missed the call this last round received a callback?
5000 TT, 1200 TPIC, 767 type-rated, former ACMI, one internal rec.
