Call/email the people as ask if you can put them down. It doesn't ask if you flew with them. You will be asked in the interview how you know them.

Look at post #4419. It's a good synopsis. There are tons of nuggets in the 450 pages. I really recommend grabbing a beer or 6 and read through the whole thing.

All forgiven if you buy me a beer while you are in Miami!!
As for everyone on the outside looking in...read the whole damn thing. Please do yourself a favor, and get to it...you are gonna do a disservice to you and your family if you take this job, without all that is presented in the last 450 pages.

Precisely. What's worse, if you take this job without understanding what it entails and subsequently bail because this life just isn't for you then you have wasted a slot that could have been filled by someone who HAS done their homework and would have been a good fit. Please note well what 747 driver and others of us have said here and gather the facts on this thread. It's all there for the reading.

Agree with Talon, it's best to make sure this life is what you want and that your family understands what the life style is. I was gone from home three weeks for my first OE trip. The other factor to consider is the amount of dead-heading that you will do. I know some guys hate to deadhead so keep that in mind also. My next pattern has 3 commercials and 3 deadheads to operate 2 legs. Atlas is a good company and I'm glad to be here, just really think about the lifestyle before you take up space in class.
