Will certainly send him a message as well when I apply. What are the chances of getting a call? ~3000TT 1500 Turb SIC. No Turb PIC. All RJ time. What's competitive at Atlas? I went through the last 10 or so pages and couldn't find much in the way of minimums they are looking for. Obviously I've seen whats on the web page. Thanks.
We've hired RJ FOs with no PIC before, so no harm in giving it a shot, but yes, there seems to be a lot of available talent on the street right now.

However, Atlas has had a good success rate with the mixture of backgrounds they have selected...mil, Regional, big airplane, small airplane (CRJ), corporate only, etc.

So, it would be the natural thing to do to hire all WOA or NA guys, but I'm not sure that is what they want...

I took the train from NRT to NGO today. What a great ride. Just the elimination of the limo from the airport to the hotel in NGO is reason enough to take the train. Easy, fast, quiet and clean. No worries about lost luggage, no security screening, no other airport hassles. I would highly recommend it to anyone who gets transferred between NGO and NRT. Total time is 3.5 hrs hotel lobby to hotel lobby.

There was surprisingly only 1 military guy in my class the rest were civilian. I had 4300TT, 3100 CRJ, 0 TPIC, and let's say I had some connections. Minus the mil guy I had the least amount of time by at least 3,000 hours!!!

My buddy just got put in the pool and had less time than what I had but he has 767 international time. (Shout out to D.D.)

With all these World and Evergreen pilots on the street with lots of experience plus only running small classes of approximately 8 pilots once a month. I say the chances are small but not impossible if something makes you stand out from the thousands of applicants.
Thanks for the input.

When I ask the former regional pilots that are new hires how long they were at the regionals, the answer seems to commonly be about 7 years. I was also at my regional for 7 years before being hired. Of course there are many outliers, but that level of experience at the regionals seems to be very typical for some reason.

I spoke with them about the cost of the plane ticket and limo. I then spoke with scheduling. Once I knew the cost of travel I booked my own ticket and scheduling put it on my pattern as Rail. Since it was part of my pattern I did not require an authorization number. I did the same in Europe 3 days ago. Rode rail OST - LEJ.

Great information contained throughout the thread! Thank you to all who have posted, this thread covers just about everything an aspiring Atlas needs to know. I'm a retiring Air Force pilot, received an e-mail to take the online test. Fast a furious with the studying now, hoping to get this done soon and advance in the process. Atlas is exactly the kind of flying I would like to do!
