This is so true... I don't understand why they did that just to this guy. I don't understand how the people working in pay figured that it was ok to send him a bill for working here.

Could folks who got hired please post their times? I have a friend currently at a regional, who has 8000+ TT 1500+ Turbine and 500+ Turbine PIC. Would he be competitive? Thanks.

He has applied.

I was hired with around 3500 heavy international time with no PIC. He's competitive. If he's currently getting PIC, I'd stay put if I were him and get that last 500 hours so that box is checked on his resume. A ton of the guys currently getting hired are going to bolt for another airline anyway and it'll be 10 years before he's a Captain at Atlas if he were hired tomorrow... Maybe even longer.

I know it probably means I don't have a chance at getting hired if I have to ask this question, but does anyone know if Atlas applies a sortie conversion for mil guys? I'm sitting at 1850 total time and 1350 turbine pic so I am short of the 2000hr total time requirement, but a .2-.3 sortie conversion puts me well over the mark...

Have you bothered to check out the section where you apply and looked at the PAQ?

Just finished reading that. I initially looked under the airline profile and didn't see anything, but after going to their website and reading their paq I do meet the mins as a mil guy.

1025 Pilots
20 New Hire spots all on the 767 all in CVG
No 767 pilots had their seat locks released. I believe next month there's no choice for the company in the matter.
19 New Hires in the last month added to the list all to the 747 in ANC.
3 people left. I counted 0 retirements.
ANC shrinks by 16 so that there aren't New Hire slots for the 767 guys to fill next month when their locks expire. I'd be furious about that if I were a 767 guy. The company is clearly worried about staffing CVG on the 767 when those locks expire.
The most junior captain is now hired in June of 2008.

ANC fluctuates quite a bit from bid to bid, the big thing is no more unannounced 747 new hires. (yet) I think they waited too long on the 767 staffing. Maybe we'll get a flood of open time emails for a change.

Could someone PM me a copy of the current CBA? I'm just doing some due diligence and trying to gain all the info I can.

Thanks!

+1. We seem very thin on 767 staffing, at least on the FO side. They can't hold off 747 vacancies for more than a month or two... I think those open time emails are going to start coming fast and furious.
