Hello Airdriver.

I guess we can add another voice to the vocal minority.

Why don't you guys just PM each other and thump your chests about how awful ALPA is and keep it off these boards.

I'm calling you out brother. You talk about the "ME" generation. Well, the "ME" generation has a new rep -- ready, willing, and able to give you a taste of some down home ass-whoopin'. You talked about how physically fit you are in previous posts -- trust me, you are woefully inadequate to hang with me brother. Place and time. Place and time.

You are an antagonist. I like that. I can tell you are a coward too. I think that's funny as well. Guys like you are all talk until they get their nose smashed and cry to Momma. You are all talk and no action. Typical non-member. Whether you pay dues or not -- you are a non-member to the core. You are an embarassment to the entire crew force.

You are simply a SCAB waiting for the opportunity to stab your fellow pilots in the back. I'm sure your wife and kids are proud of you -- of course, I'm sure they have no idea you play on your computer all day. Retreat to your dark hole jerkwad.

The only acceptable reply is -- place and time. But, you don't have the balls.

Can't wait to hear the replies from the masses on this one! Professionalism aside, this dude needs a well-deserved a$$-whoopin'.

Sonny, does your Mom allow you on the comuter this late at night. Way past your bed time. Sweet dreams son, you'll be one day older tomorrow.

Why, with so many passing out the ALPA KoolAid, people are starting to get a little ill. You were truthful about the stuff you made that with?

FOX I don't see where people are kneeling towards Herdon saying "we're not worthy". What I do see is 4700 (minus a few like your self) very frustrated Pilots who work for a very profitable company that refuses to negotiate. I see hard working Pilots that simply want some respect and a little acknowlegment that they play a key role in the great success of this company. They simply want "A little something for the effort".........noething more, nothing less.

So, my friend, Tell me what you would do right now if you were the MEC Chairman?.......or Negotiating Chairman? How would you move negotiations along to get us the improvments the crewforce indicated it wanted?

The current NC has already come down twice on our proposals. The company hasn't budged one IOTA. So now what???????

So Please FOXhunter....enlighten us on how it should be done.

Oh and BTW.............
Under the FCH how many years did we go without any Pay raise?
Under the FCH how much did we all potentailly lose with NO B FUND?
Under the FCH nothing was legally binding.
(Granted under bankruptcy, other MGTS have been very successful; at chainsawing contracts.............but we ain't in bankruptcy)

Remember, the FCH was a 3 ring binder!..... (That wasn't legally binding excuse the Pun). When the company didn't like something, they simply popped open the Binder pulled out/or inserted a change ........most of the time it wasn't for the better as far as Pilots were concerned.

Your retirement under this current contract is FAR superior than it would have been under the FCH and the retirement section, although signed by FPA, was essentailly Identical to the ALPA 1 failed TA's.

Please FOX enlighten us with your method to get the company to begin to negotiate.............

We have 4700 frustrated pilots because a large number of them were convinced that ALPA was something that it was not.

I would suggest a resignation would be in order. Just because you want something it does not always happen.

Looks to me that the company is sending a message as to how weak/ineffective national unions are. The pilots are just one of the targets of the message.

Listen to Herndon, Vote for Democrats in November.

I worked tor Tigers in 85' with the highest paid ALPA pilot group in the country. I was also there in 87' part of the lowest paid ALPA pilot group. Pay does not always go up. When I came to non-union FedEx I received a 100% pay raise. No B fund at FedEx, but no B fund at Tigers either.

Was not quite that simple, but few things were actually changed. I do recall the uproar about the vacation policy change, made it better for 85% of the pilots, but still many were very unhappy.

Is it? Yes we now have the nonqualified plan due to changes in Federal Law. There are advantages to being organized, and some big disadvantages being tied to a National Union's agenda.

My guess is that our ALPA leadership has seen the best offer. Some day they may even allow the membership a peek.

We had 3000 frustrated Pilots under FPA (we have hired since then) so what changed from your Exalted in house Union?? The company didn't negotiate with FPA either. Come to think of it, they never offered pay raises under the FCH for over 10 years when we were NON union? HHMMMM.

I would suggest a resignation would be in order. Just because you want something it does not always happen.

Didn't you already resign once twice from the Union?? or is that my mistake?

Looks to me that the company is sending a message as to how weak/ineffective national unions are. The pilots are just one of the targets of the message.

Oh and your saying it would be better without a UNION?? Please

Listen to Herndon, Vote for Democrats in November.

Trust me..........I will

I believe Tigers was in Bankruptcy in 1987......FedeX was then a very Profitable company and still is........
By the way, why was Tigers the Highest Paid Pilots in 1985?? I suppose ALPA had nothing to do with that? As for your Tigers Pension,,,,,,,,you have the opportunity to Lump sum out if you retire a day before your 60. I suppose that is a Bad Deal? FedEx MGT didn't give that to you....ALPA did

Actually is was quite that simple. When MGT wanted to change the FCH they did with their stooges on the FAB.
PLease, the Vacation policy did not change for the better and you know it.
Let's not forget the Substitution Policy change, not for the better.
Let's not forget the Military Leave policy change, not for the better. Just to name a few

may even allow the membership a peek.
First you already saw MGT's offer on the ALPA web site (must be a member to Logon)
You have been around long enough to have seen companies "make their Final offer", only to up it as the 30 day deadline draws near. Look at NW and Delta for example. True they both made concessionary deals but neither was as bad as The Company's original "Final offer". If we are not willing to fight things will not improve. I wish it were not that way, I truely do, but I have been around.....almost as long as you to know that is unfortunatley the way it is.

By the way you never really answered any of my questions from the previous post.

Tigers was never in bankruptcy. Tiger were the highest paid because 80+ of the flying was on the 747. Yes, ALPA did fine in those days, the real impact of deregulation had not struck. Times change. Sorry not much of a lum sum for me. That plan was given up a short time after they bought Seaboard in 1980. I believe I have just over $30,000 in it.

The old vacation policy had no bank, could wipe out two 80+ hour trips. Senior guy on the 747 could get 8+ months of paid vacation. Could slide the vacation 3 days in either direction. Normal DC10/727 domestic Line holder could knock only 5 days flying with a 7 day vacation. Real junior reserve could find all vacation days falling on scheduled days off, he got to keep all his reserve days. NOT GOOD FOR 80%+ of the pilots.

Sub policy never changed until the contract.

MIL LV policy changed because it was abused by some

Don't ask FoxHunter to read the table positions. He does not want to be bothered with the facts.

He was wrong in his post about voulnteer.
He was wrong about retirement additions to our contract in negotiations in a post on another board.
He could read the company offer if he wanted to.

I am starting to think the 'WISE" old man does not know how to read.

Mark, I believe that some day you will also get an education about divorce. The difference between mine and yours is that you cannot help being taken to the cleaners. In my case my former wife is collecting her part now. Turns out due the value of the pension at the time it does not amount to all that much. Lose a few pounds and join me in a run some day, you'll probably need a wheelchair before it is over, son.
