"Who is WE? If that is you, you're not doing too well."
"We" as in the members of the union. I know the term "we" is foreign to you from your other posts where I read a lot of "me" issues that you care about. As far as how well "we" are doing it is directly proportional to how members like "you" and "I" back up the negotiating committee. I am spending my days off at home, including not protecting carryover. Are "you" doing your part or just waiting for "we" to do it for "you"? Besides dues, what have "you" contributed to ensure the success of this negotiation? "We" is "you" and "I" working together to make sure "we" get a contract we all deserve, or at least those of us that are members.
"My bet is that the age 60 rule will change before you ever see a ALPA contract at FedEx, but of course that being the case you may see the contract by the end of 2006."
As far as Age 60, time will tell. I have been hearing propaganda like yours for years from the SWA guys who want the rest of us to pay for the fact that they didn't negotiate a very good retirement package. I guess now that you are saying it I should listen more? It's pathetic really that some pilots can't just go enjoy their life after flying like those before them have done. You know, make up for all that lost time with the family while they flew carry over at straight time and try to catch up on some sleep. There is life after flying, which even if your kind get your way and change Age 60, they will eventually have to face. That is if those that fly past 60 don't die before they retire. If not, I'm sure they will be back pushing for Age 70 when they are about to turn 65. As I said, pathetic and kind of sad really.

FoxHunter,
Maybe not leveling, but what about this line of the contract.
'CRS shall offer a DRF assignment in reverse seniority order to pilots who are legal and available for that assignment. '
Gets broken all the time. A single guy I now senior to me gets called all the time because he is a ***** (not right now though), they know he will take the trip, their job is done with one phone call. Always asks me did they offer you that trip?

BTW have some other younger guy/gal teach you how to use the quote function of the Board. I thought all young guys were computer savy. Hope you're still on the 727.

"I think it is pathetic that some junior nugget, that little if any airline experience, little life experience has the gall to tell others how they should live. You talk about WE, your real concern is ME.

Take it easy Mr. Grumpy Pants. I must have struck a nerve. You know nothing about me, yet you pretend you do. Nice personal attack, which means you have no real reply to my points. Anyway, I am sure you do hope I am still on the 727 and your hope is to keep me there 5 more years so you can avoid the inevitable fact that you will one day have to retire. Like I said, if you get your way I am sure we will hear from you again when you have to retire again. Same arguments, same reasons, just different age limit that is so unfair now that you have your Wide Body left seat. "Why can't I fly until I'm 80? This arbitrary 75 year old age limit is so unfair! All I want to do is be able to fly a trip where my great grandchild is my F/O." Yep. I can see why the word "we" confused you before.
Thanks for the tip BTW but I prefer to use my own ""'s.

"You have failed to make any points. I do believe since there are new hires going to the MD11 no senior person is keeping you off it."
I think you mean that you have failed to acknowledge my points which you will have to face up to one day. Also, you have no idea what plane I fly or seat I am on so don't pretend you do. Just stick to the subject Mr Grumpy Pants.
