The contract is being held up by 1224 who is using Omni pilots as sacrificial lambs to obtain improvements for the upcoming Atlas contract. The fact that management is saying this, doesn't make it not true; I just got off the phone with a P2P who told me he has confirmed that this is EXACTLY true.
Just out of curiosity I looked up the Atlas pay scale here in APC.
The "bread crumbs" pay that Omni has proposed is 50 dollars more per hour at the senior captain level than the 747 senior captain pay at Atlas and 83 dollars an hour more than comparable 767 senior captain rates.
The guarantee is also 2 hours higher.
The proposed rates are even higher than the hourly rates at Southwest. Of course, we don't fly nearly the hours that Southwest does so they are bound to make more.
What are people calling "bread crumbs"?
It is time to put Omni's proposal into a TA and let us vote. Money can't buy happiness but it sure does help with the bills.

First of all, thats an old old old contract. One should not compare newer modern contract with an outdated one. Once they get a new TA, you can be assured it will be way better than our ‘crumbs’. And more importantly, I do not believe anyone is complaining about potential pay scale that is being offered (it is a decent pay scale). What is inadequate and missing is all the ‘soft pay’ and QOL perks that everyone else gets except us.
Respectfully sir, it is not an old, old, old contract; it is their current contract regardless of date.
As for this new contract being void of the QOL items you speak of, could you be more specific?
Correct me if I'm wrong -I'm always willing to learn- but aren't
improved Per Diem
improved Healthcare
improved 401k match
improved guarantee
improved schedule
improved travel
improved hotel stnds
Examples of QOL?

It seems to me like there's a minority (getting smaller and smaller) that is still hung up on soft pay items. The majority seem to be onboard with the principles of the company offer and realize that we can take a giant leap forward now and make the last step with the next contract.

Just read the latest "update" from the Union.
I was dumbfounded by how obtuse they are to the reality around them.
Who writes these things anyway? It was like reading the mad rantings of an implacable child.
For the Union to smugly say "it will take as long as it takes" is the height of arrogance and a paternal "we know what's best for you" attitude.
As eloquently as I can say it;
**** that!
You are elected Representatives, not our parents!
Either execute the will of the pilot group or we will recall you and vote you out!!!

Atlas is hoping for a mordern day contract where Frank here is grabbing at a small raise to get him through to retirement, which would still leave this group at the bottom of the industry.
Stay strong, or forever be a bottom feeder!

Yeah, whatever heavylift. Many of us will greatly enjoy the small 78%+ raise. Looks like the union has basically acknowledged the company's offer. There remain roughly three topics to negotiate and I highly doubt this will last to the spring. More like January. Negotiations team (if not 1224) have done an excellent job. The light at the end is getting brighter.

Maybe. But when its all said and done, even with a 78% pay increase, you will still enjoy overall the WORST contract this segment of industry has to offer. A year after signing, and after Atlas gets theirs, we would still be the worst place in the ACMI/charter world to work for. Something to think about.
Other perks of the contract are just as important , if not more, than a reasonable pay scale they are offering. No one is asking for the unimaginable. We do not deserve anything less than what our counterparts have or will have at other comparable outfits. Otherwise we are selling ourselves and the rest of the pilot group short.
