as usual Khal you do not know what you are talking about -- a loaner engine from United is headed out that way -- will take time to change then fly it to probably DFW to change it to return to United -- will cost -- but
it has to be done - it was a precaution shutdown for oil pressure

Nationals president put out internal message stating this rumor is bunk and no plans to sell the airline are in the works or being considered......grain of salt.

Do you guys get extra security when you head to the middle east? Not sure if you are in the war zones or not but just curious how long stays go in those places.

No extra security, stays can be a week or two. I know a few senior people that this fact may make them move on. This job is not worth your life.

I'm not saying this is the place to discuss opsec sensitive details, but it's a valid question and something I would like to know before deciding to go work somewhere so I'd say your "need to know" comment is a bit brash.
