The ExCO isn't worth half a penny at OAI. Lack of motivation and personal agenda will get the group no where! I've seen more effort out of a local LEC at brand X vs the ExCO here at OAI. We have a lot of great volunteers spearheading many committees but with the current ExCO nothing spectacular will get done!

When you have an Exco that is continually made up of junior pilots with no union experience and only do it for the notoriety and the useless Teamsters division and a useless business manager a pilot group will get no where with the company and issues

I see once again an individual is blaming the teamsters for what is an obvious failure of the pilot group. I know this might be a difficult concept for you to understand, but it is the PILOTS that make up the union. It is the PILOTS that choose to participate or not, and take charge on various committees. It is the PILOTS that choose NOT to become members during the negotiations for their first contract. It is the PILOTS that are at fault not Teamsters National, not the business agent, or 1224. The current business agent is a former Omni crewmember and a good man that has the interest of the pilot group at hand. Until and unless the worthless pilots step up to the plate and become leaders you will continue to get what you deserve.
Pilots are our own worst enemy, forget Omni management the best asset Omni has is the completely useless inept pilot group. My fellow winning pilots that want to blame the union make me sick….

A union business agent that is paid directly from the Omni membership dues doing negotiations for another airline contract is useless...not the pilot group.
A negotiating committee that is on the path of negotiating in the same manner of techniques as the first "Standard Contract" is worthless...not the pilot group.
There is a reason why most of the senior pilots at Omni are not part of the Union process...We don't like playing childish games with babies, and most have more years dealing with the Teamsters than the EXCO has been in aviation...And that's including playing with his Lego Airplanes...

An EXCO that uses Union days for his own person use and surrounds himself with likeminded individuals is worthless...not the pilot group.

Horse...water...why won't he drink?

The horse knows the reason why it does not to drink the water...it tastes bad...
My opinion...Omni will not be in business much longer(7 years max)for reasons of economic will by the owners...And a pilot group or union will not change that...So enjoy your safety of seniority at Atlas sir...

This is priceless, the individual that blames 1224 and his business agent is calling me a whiner and doesn’t want me to cry. How about you and the heavy driver with all his vast experience, quit blaming the union. Pay attention to NightIP he knows of what he speaks. YOUR union will only be as strong as YOUR pilot group, yes I said your because I am no longer at the sxxxthole called Omni. The reason it is still a sxxxhole is because of pilots like you, that were unwilling to support the union. So once again for the record, you got the contract you deserve, and given your present attitude you will once again get the contract you deserve. If you want something better, stop blaming the union, step up to the plate and support the individuals working for you.
I’m done with you, you make me sick.

I agree and disagree with this. Using personal is BS and you need different types of personalities on the Exco but they have to be able to work together at the end of the day. This pilot group is worthless from a unity standpoint. We have all these "senior" pilots on here tooting their own horn about how much they know about union stuff but won't step up and even throw their names in the ring for Exco.

I'm pretty sure that the business agent works for multiple airlines and is paid by the 1224 for ALL his work. If the pilot group is so unhappy with him then either call him or the 1224, don't sit here and ***** about it.
A negotiating committee that is on the path of negotiating in the same manner of techniques as the first "Standard Contract" is worthless...not the pilot group.
From what I have heard around the water cooler: 2 of the 3 have already "written" a new contract while the 3rd one has been studying on how to negotiate and trying to find out what this pilot group wants and needs and the correct process for this so we won't continue to get beat down by the company during negotiations.

These are just my observations to this post and my point of view as a line pilot who wants/needs things to get better here.
