Slots are all full sadly. Same problem here. Keep checking back to see if any open up.

For those of us waiting to interview, would love to hear more about life at Omni. Retired USAF guy looking for a good place to work for another 10 years!

Omni Air

Very well maintained equipment. We carry 3,400 lbs of spares and 2 mechanics on most flights.

Crews are fantastic, nothing else to say there.

Management is fair and loaded with actual pilots. New CFO is retired USAF General and is line qualified on the 777. Lots of servant leaders with a can do attitude.

Attrition is all but non existent except for guys going to one of the big five, nobody’s leaving for corporate, regionals, or LCC’s. We are up to 309 pilots now. Currently 13 planes.

With rumors of new 777 flying and fleet expansion into cargo ops you could expect upgrades to drop. The most recent award was 2.5 years. I’d bet the cargo stuff gets a lot more actual flight time too.

Appreciate that Cujo! It sounds like a great place to work. Hopefully we can get some interview dates to open up for those of us in the pool!

I check the interview link multiple times a day, with the same result. No dates available.

Anymore more news about the possibility of 777F flying and how many aircraft that could possibly bring to Omni? Securing 737 freight aircraft would add a bunch more flying and growth as well. I have an interview in May, curious what the growth and possible expansion will be in the future at Omni? Thanks.

That freight 777(s) are coming has been announced. AFAIK, no one knows how many. If I were a betting guy, I would bet they get spread out between ATSG (Omni), Atlas (Southern), and Kalitta.

This is the first I've heard of that rumor. I would think that Southern would be the obvious choice to take them, as they already operate the type. But that would require Atlas to be able to find pilots to fly them with pretty tragic rates and QOL. Omni's narrow body rates aren't all that much lower than the widebody numbers. I'm sure we'd be happy to see them!

I don’t think Kalitta has 777. not that they cannot be added.
