Default Stand your ground

I'm only in the training pool but respect the man that walked my resume in and the individuals that I met throughout the interview process enough to understand that Omni employees do not owe me or anyone else an explanation as to why they are so trusted unless you need to know.

Default Well Said; OPSEC is key.

I'm a Former Navy Officer, so I understand the importance of OPSEC.
Anyone who is trying to manipulate an employee to divulge this info just doesn't get it.

Listen, all ye who come forth on this long-dragging-on forum thread...Omni Air serves many customers who don't advertise, don't market and don't sell tickets to the general public. Many air carriers in other countries and in ours don't discuss or divulge destinations their carrier may serve in the interest of business, competitiveness or security of their customers AND crewmembers.

Simply put, the Omni crews who post on this forum to simply opine or to assist others in gaining employment there should NOT be hassled, cajoled or harassed into divulging sensitive information that they've been trained or counseled NOT to share with anyone that isn't employed by their company.

So, stop teasing/goading and quit trying to find out sensitive information from these posters. If you want to work at Omni and have an interview there, these posters will certainly help you.

Travel, logistics, schedules all listed as critical information that shouldn’t be posted unnecessarily or carelessly. While not illegal, certainly not smart.

I don’t think the later is what is being referred to. You don’t work at an ACMI that has a DOD contract either.

First off, I do work at Omni so I am extremely familiar - I also know what I meant when I said what I said. Second off I know exactly what I'm referring to because I read the posts in this and other threads before the deletions started.

Come on man, idiots on here were posting specific detailed directions on how to find our flights, track them, what identifiers to use, and in a few cases which specific airports to look at. Some even included links to help them do it. The whole conversation is inappropriate to this venue.

We fly DoD personnel transport globally, in addition to other charter work. Enough said. The rest they’ll tell them about at the interview, and more once hired. Does it really need to be more specific than that on this type of venue?

The point was (and for me continues to be) that it does not violate "OPSEC" to say that we fly to military bases on certain continents. It's a fairly valid question to ask before even applying. Answering such a question, the way some of us were trying to, is not "loose lips sinking ships". Jumping all over people who gave a valid answer (which didn't include schedules, etc.) is the embodiment of Lt. Drebin.

I'm not going to waste time arguing about this any further. Most prospective employees should be able to get an idea of the places they will visit by what has been presented here, but please don't try to pass us off as a branch of the military. We are a civilian airline who happens to be contracted by the military, among other customers, for certain flying.

I don’t recall seeing anybody saying you couldn’t say we go to military (and non military) airports all over the globe. Have at it if you like to say it that way. Heck, tell em to watch the nightly news... wherever the troops are, so are we.
