Omni Air

I'm all for not broadcasting the "special" places but for cripes sake ALL of us in the ACMI/Charter world go to or have gone to the same places. I see your planes and you see mine. Omni seems to think they are the only ones who fly to Trashcanistan in the middle of the night with those who don't want to be seen or haul that which cannot spoken of. Answering some broad questions about flights that are done is not loose lips sinking ships. If you want people to apply there you have to give them a little info or they will just go elsewhere. Saying you fly to military bases or certain large geographic regions isn't breaking OPSEC. This isn't 2008. Pilots have options.
you can be cavalier about it, but I think our troops deserve the best we can provide; that includes not making things easy for those who would harm them while they’re under our watch and care.
I’d much rather have somebody like you call me over cautious then to deal with the alternative. Have at it pal.

Training Center & Upgrades
For a change of pace....
New training center coming soon.
Two more upgrades announced within the past few days on top of the several the past month and a half. Most junior non management CA now 7-2016 DOH.
Over 300 pilots on the list now. Typical classes currently run 6-12 at a time.

How many in the ACMI have had planes sabotaged because they didn’t like our troops flying in their country....

Good post and well put. If you fly into certain places, you aren’t allowed to say it. Plain and simple. Especially not on a public forum. Someone thinks they’re clever because “they figured it out” where ACMI goes. Well done Captain. Also, atlas, omni etc don’t have all their flights on flight aware. That’s BS. If they’re on a company call sign, yes. A military one, no.
Simple statement instead of telling every person who has asked about Omni flying for the last few years that, "we cant tell you that, it's classified." How the hell is someone supposed to make a decision about applying there based on that info? Some people might not want that kind of flying and you save them the time of applying and Omni the time of interviewing them only to find out that don't want that kind of job.

Apart from a few military callsigns (the ones you and me are not allowed to know) all of them are published on flightaware or other services, even the OCONUS segments.
Wonder who the other Mall Cops are. Skyjet is basically right in his description of our route structure.

You both miss the point. I am not saying to post, "well last week I flew 200 GI's to (insert crap hole here)". All I'm saying is how hard is it to tell prospective employees that "yes we fly a lot of military charter. Some of them go to various bases in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. We rarely if ever have to stay there as we drop off load and go as you can imagine we don't like to let airplanes stay in those types of places. There are a few places that we fly to or passengers we carry that are a little more sensitive than others and you will be told about them in training."

Anyone who is looking into a company to fly for and is doing their due dilgence, have researched on Facebook and this forum. They have probably run across this thread and other similar threads which has already given quite a bit of info. They should be able to gather enough info to make a determination of whether or not that type of job is for them. It can probably be put to rest at this point.

I don’t have a problem with that at all, and it’s been said almost exactly that way dozens of times throughout the threads. I don’t think anybody has a problem with saying we fly a high number of DoD flights. We go where they tell us to.
That’s not what I’m saying though; there were people posting the various cities we frequent often, our call signs, and how-to’s for finding and tracking the flights. That I had a problem with. If some are misinterpreting that, well... that’s their problem.
