can anyone tell me about the CBT’s? Should I try to get them done before class? Do them all except aircraft systems, saving that one for class?

Things I should consider before class starts?

Thanks in advance.
Congratulations! I would do all the CBT's before class starts. You're expected to know the systems before day #1.

Definitely get the CBTs done before class. Save the systems ones for last so they are fresh in your mind, there will be a systems test either the first day or shortly after.

when do they generally send them to you?? How much time should be allotted to get them completed?

Also, what iPad edition is recommend? (Not for CBDs but for day fo day line flying for charts and manuals)

If you don't have them two weeks out, I'd call and give them a gentle reminder. They take a while. It took me a week to get the systems done, but I made flashcards of all the systems questions so that takes some time.
I got a newer iPad air and use Goodreader for pubs. Works pretty well.

Give yourself two weeks for sure. I don't remember the total hours of all CBT's for new hire but I wanna say close to 80? Someone that has done it recently can chime in. Go through the systems thoroughly and write down any questions you might have. Nothings a dumb question. We've all been there, asking and clarifying is better than not understanding till later when it causes a problem and confusion for you and potentially someone else.

Like what's already been said: don't be shy about calling and having them sent to you if you think you should have them. Two weeks minimum. They might need to clear your background checks and all that before they send them so just make sure everything is taken care of.

Sorry I'm rambling and I don't mean to sound preachy. Welcome to Omni! It's a good gig with good people.

I’m doing the CBT’s now. At the end of each course (after the test) I’m prompted to exit course. When I do so, it shows as incomplete and ask if I want to start where I left off.

Any ideas what’s up? Is this happening to anyone else?

Thanks in advance.

Have you completed the survey? Often that’s required. Otherwise take a screenshot that shows you have completed the course/ section as proof.
