As for attrition being not that much... I personally know many captains and even some lucky FOs going places. Attrition is at least 10 a month, not 5, and this is a small pilot group and I think it's the tip of the iceberg. That's why we are so FO heavy. They can throw out the CA upgrades quick but FOs are cheap and in this environment if you can staff you can get more flying. I still don't think AA is at 100% yet, those planes sit a lot, but just wait.

Right now we have 364 captains and 415 FOs (according to the last notice of vacancy). In LAX the disproportion is the biggest (235 CAs and 290 FOs).
