Let me give you something to think about....
We're on the 3rd COO in just as many years...
An announcement was made that upgrades will slow way down...
&
It appears that total block time has been reduced..
And you happy because the floor hasn't been raised. Yippee!!
It's time to start looking at the big picture and maybe start connecting some dots.

Many factors could change our numbers by a few percent up or down. With the new brake release rule maybe our block time has been cut by a few minutes a flight on average. Or they trimmed up a small percentage of the overblocking, or we all got planned at .80 this month.
Who knows. But I dont think we have anything to worry about.3rd COO in 3 years? So what. Just like AC said, its a regional. What do you expect? You want no attrition except on the pilot side? Be realistic, every person in every job looks to move on to a bigger paycheck and QOL. Business is Business, one guy left early, and the other guy literally just started. Having a new COO, can actually be a good thing.

As for the block hours? Again, this is a regional. Shuffling occurs between bases and regional partners. Connecting dots? I've got much bigger problems to worry about such as making sure I "Set thrust".

I am ecstatic that the floor is not raised. I want to work as little as possible next month. I've been dreaming of this!

Or maybe the floor wasnt raised because we finally may be staffed better than anytime in the last year? The FO floor hasnt been raised in almost 12 months, so this is nothing new for half of us. So if anything, this points to us catching up on CA staffing. Now, if our total block was reduced, please give us the numbers. Because I dont see it.

Minimum Required Line Value. I'm gonna guess a lot of us are going to get shafted by it. I never got 85 hours. Nearly every month my min line value was 87-90.

SEA also got more block hours but the trips also look much more productive. Several 4 days are 24-28hr credit. And our last COO was fired for turning down flying not once, but twice without ever running it by the rest of mgmt/board. He took it upon himself to make the decisions. Part of the problem with upgrades is they also don't have any sim time. I know several people that are being pushed into their grace month because they don't have enough sim time. The new hires are still having to do their LOEs stateside, and this time last year there was a lot of training and upgrades going on so all of people are due for 12mo.
