We are at 20% of population vaccinated and the airports are getting crowded. LAX was a complete zoo the other day. Summer is going to be a bananas. I'm trying to hit Cabo in March before things get out of hand. The first post COVID US cruise is probably going to have a Woodstock atmosphere

Settle down Timmy. Things(domestically) will be normal by the Fall, if not by Summer. We are on the cusp of unleashing the largest pent up demand in modern history. Delta Network is analytically driven and ultra conservative. The fact that we are bringing everybody back and ringing alarm bells in training(double crewing E periods lol) is a clear sign of where the economy is going. Oh and Delta will be cash flow positive shortly. Spring or Summer quarter Fall at the latest.

We are. Maybe. I won't call it a recovery.
we are 3k short of where we were 3 years ago personnel wise.
And we are still bleeding $$$
But management is getting their bonuses. So I guess all is fine. Here. Now.
I just want my cancelled "A"bid whole again. Too much to ask?
Let's see how the forthcoming AEs shake out

20% of 1700 is 340, which is probably pretty close. Definitely more than 200. Obviously Mil guys are set for a while, but it sounds like quite a few other pilots have some good stuff going on. Even if it doesn't pay as much I'm sure it'd beat commuting to NYC for 6-12 months of reserve. Come back to a better position and decent relative seniority.

We need you back on the line and will most likely not be approving most PLOA’s.

Interesting I thought it was worded as an automatic thing, not at the opportunity of the company to say yes/no

Edit: just went to read the actual LOA language and I'm not sure where this one will fall. It basically says that the pilot will notify the company of their MD preferences or their request for a PLOA or their request for MLOA.
It specifically says the PLOA can be up to one year "or longer with company concurrence."
It doesn't explicitly say that the company will grant the PLOA no matter what, but it does seem to imply that the pilot has the choice of one of those 3 options.
