They aren't doing that through reconciliation, and the tipped employee would have a different rate just like now.

LAX is a complete zoo now. They better figure out this construction pronto.

Oh and Delta will be cash flow positive shortly. Spring or Summer quarter Fall at the latest.

Don't be condescending Trip.

We are. Maybe. I won't call it a recovery.
we are 3k short of where we were 3 years ago personnel wise.

And we are still bleeding $$$

But management is getting their bonuses. So I guess all is fine. Here. Now.

I just want my cancelled "A"bid whole again. Too much to ask?

Let's see how the forthcoming AEs shake out

Heh. If u want your A seat back u can pay (a 2 year seat freeze) to get it back. Nice strategy by the company!

Yes we hope there are reinstatements soon.

Something to talk about... Of the affected how many do you think don't come back and go on MIL leave and/or take the 1 year PLOA? My guess is 20%

20% of 1700 is 340, which is probably pretty close. Definitely more than 200. Obviously Mil guys are set for a while, but it sounds like quite a few other pilots have some good stuff going on. Even if it doesn't pay as much I'm sure it'd beat commuting to NYC for 6-12 months of reserve. Come back to a better position and decent relative seniority.

DTW CP MP responded to a question about that on DeltaBook:

We need you back on the line and will most likely not be approving most PLOA’s.
20-04 says an Affected Pilot can "request for a PLOA". So unless the union fights it to say that it's at pilot's discretion, it sounds like 0 will have the chance to take the PLOA.

Interesting I thought it was worded as an automatic thing, not at the opportunity of the company to say yes/no

Oof, that might put some people in a pickle if true...

Edit: just went to read the actual LOA language and I'm not sure where this one will fall. It basically says that the pilot will notify the company of their MD preferences or their request for a PLOA or their request for MLOA.

It specifically says the PLOA can be up to one year "or longer with company concurrence."

It doesn't explicitly say that the company will grant the PLOA no matter what, but it does seem to imply that the pilot has the choice of one of those 3 options.
