I don't know, that NYC 88 was pretty unique in terms of its awfulness. I don't know if we'll ever see a category again with quite that level of undesirability.

There doesnít seem to be much logical planning regarding drops across the year. Indoc classes full of east coasters getting slammed with a bunch of LAX/SEA/SLC and the very next class class is full of west coasters not getting a single option west of the Mississippi. One manís trash is anotherís treasure and all that. I recommend to new guys to not stress about it, the entire thing is completely out of your control; time and AEs will eventually solve the problem for you if thatís the spot you end up in.

Thereís probably more logistical hurdles, but Iíve wondered before if pooling 2-3 classes together for bids would help the variance. Everybody still bids in seniority order, but you have a larger pot to select from, so thereís isnít one week getting all east who want west, and vice versa. Pre COVID we saw it with the 88. Guys getting pushed to that who wanted something else, while folks who would be totally fine with ATL Dawg going to NYC 737 and the like.

At least the new system of not having hard numbers of aircraft/bases seems to help people get where they want to go, and AEs are relatively frequent.

But again, this is all temporary. When hiring eventually slows down to a normal pace, we will likely go back to the way things wereÖentire classes with NYC NBs and the occasional DTW/ATL NB.

What was awful about the 88 nyc? You could become top 40% in less than 6 months and the trips were great.

6/16 CJO, just got 10/4 Indoc.

Is the footprint still Tue-Fri then Mon-Thur? Where does the "Prom" fall in there?
