Will admit to bunk envy though....
Tell that to scheduling that just assigned me a day trip to do NFL charters

Probably more a sign of low FO staffing. If there isn’t full augmentation for Intl, the other option to keep the plane flying is two crew stuff. LAX trips, etc.

How's the ATL 7ER flying? How long can one expect to be on reserve these days ATL 7ER?

It’s the worst flying out of all the 7ER flying. Very senior on the top so you’ll never touch the good stuff and you’ll do 3-4 leg days as norm down to Florida or other short routes like CHS, BNA, RIC, ORF etc…Maybe you’ll get an ATL-HNL every now and then but I’ve been at DL for 2.5 years and people at my seniority barely can touch that stuff.

If you want ATL I would avoid the 7ER unless your choice is 7ER or 717. I’m an LAX 7ER guy who avoids ATL flying like the plague. And it’s not going to get any better, sadly.

It's actually pretty funny to hear a 2019 or 2020 hire complaining about being junior and barely holding Hawaii flying.

Wasn’t complaining. I’m just saying it goes very senior but you might get something dropped down every once in a while. I mean they have LHR and multiple CDG trips in open time right now, both rare still.

But way to make it way bud. Feeling better? I find it funnier you can’t read the room and turned this into a seniority **** match

You definitely weren’t complaining, you were just answering the question and did it well. Ignore the ones that reply like that, they have no lives and nothing better to do than start s#*t on forums. Keyboard warriors.

Relatively speaking I'm not all that much more senior than you. You just did a horrible job at stating what the airplane entails. A new hire isn't any more likely to hold Honolulu or Europe in a 737 or 320. When you make statements like that it sounds like you would say the same about any airplane you were on. What you can hold against what the airplane does is a lot less important than what you can hold against what other new hires on different aircraft can hold. Unless you're trying to save them from never being happy with another airplane again once they've flown the 757-200

He was complaining. His two reference points were Florida turns and then how after 2.5 years he can sometimes get primo Hawaii trips. If he was on the 737 he wouldn't be able to hold any Hawaii trips and doubtful on the 320 as it gets them. It's a classic example of poor comparison. Reference schedule quality vs other fleets. Florida turns can be a valid gripe if you'd quickly hold better elsewhere, but my understanding is 320 and somewhat 73N do a lot of those now too, so what does it take to avoid those? And don't even start on the 717 (to be fair 717 was mentioned).

So yes, if not complaining at least a poor job answering the question.

My original post wasn't even an attack, just observing how fast things really change where holding Hawaii is a reference point for bidding an aircraft as a new hire.

What??? I don’t know if you’re trolling but people outside of this airline think they’ll bid a widebody 757/767 and get great flying trips internationally and I told him the reality that it is here. It wasn’t complaining or being cynical, it’s literally the truth. You need to grow up. I’m giving realistic information about the fleets and rotations here for the base asked. Not sure how that triggers peachtree city corp to say I’m being a negative complainer, what a joke lol
