New Hire Class Drops
#6141
Loved my time on the Dog. And you def needed both hands to start those JT8's. Fangs, you didn't like the cable connected bleed levers? What about the ole dial-a-flap? I loved the old DC-3 era knob levers on it too. A very cool airplane and had features on it back in the day not many airliners had.
I miss the smoke and noise when those things were taking off. Yes, waxing nostalgic here. Plenty of things to hate about that airplane (steel brakes, bucket reversers etc) but it was a pilots airplane and it never let me down.

Curious, just flew with an LCA that said the awards had to be rerun due to them awarding manually and the back end of the class getting aircraft preferenced higher up. Any truth to this?

If they wanted them to get used to current scheduling practice they would have called them in the middle of the night, made them call back and given the assignments out first come first served.
