New Hire Class Drops
#6171
Myself and one other in my interview group back in the spring had no TPIC at the time. It’s not a showstopper unless things have changed since then

Yes, they are hiring 121 SIC without TPIC. A FO from my regional was offered a CJO last week. They were told to expect late spring for class dates.

Starting to believe that Delta is going to be hiring north of 1200 pilots this year. They recently posted that they would not be attending NGPA due to unforeseen scheduling/circumstances. However, they will be sending a big team out for WIA. Additionally they mentioned a 'big year of hiring' ahead. I think the folks citing 1500-1600 hires will be correct. As someone looking to make the jump, I am getting cautiously optimistic.

Raising the ALV’s and 23m7’s isn’t a staffing strategy.

Yes, applied on the new Delta website application the first week it opened. Got the "under review" status in August. Then AON came after about 3 weeks, interviewed early November. Just got a class in March assigned last week. I did go to OBAP and was one of the first of five to be seen and had a great conversation with the recruiter. I got offered an invite to their social that night but wasn't able to make it. If it weren't for that meet and greet, I don't think that I would have had my application pulled.

There are a ton of rumors starting to fly after a supposed high-level meeting. FB has several different numbers floating around, but it seems clear it's coming from somewhere with some degree of merit. 1200 and 1600 are the two I saw over there. Regardless, the numbers will flux up and down between now and the fall.
