Talk to your friends that got hired at the place that you want to work at, with similar experience. Talk to people that are going to tell you how you come across. If you succeeded in the mil for 15 years you can do this too.

Now, as for too much prep, I agree you can prep too much. I pretty much stopped about a week before my interview; I realized that what I knew, I knew, and what I didn't, I didn't. The only thing I kept polishing at that point was my introduction.

So I got the invite for the in person interview and it says to call a number to schedule the interview. Is it normal to ring and then never get an answer? Is it just one of those things where you have to keep calling until you get lucky to get an answer?

I had to call a few times to get an answer inside of the times listed.
