Nothing quick. If you can’t find someone who has it personally saved (ask on FB for specific category?), you can check with ALPA (that probably doesn’t help you by tomorrow though…)

Ok. I thought there was an archive on the ALPA website I was missing. Maybe there should be?

Anyway, thanks Fangs.

No….report, not depart.

Just checking to see if others are seeing a rise in short notice callouts while on SC? Over the past several months or so I have had 3 or 4 callouts with less than 2 hours to report … I understand it’s legal but just checking to see what others are experiencing.

Today, I have SC starting at 1400 and I noticed last night that I have a rotation assigned reporting at 1430. I haven’t been notified via phone yet, so I totally expect a call at 1400 today notifying that I need to report in 30 minutes. I’ll be there, on time of course but I feel like in a way I’m supporting this (perceived) new model of short notice callouts. Ugh.

Why would you be there on time?

Might it be realistic that if he(everybody) heeds your advise, then Crew scheduling's recourse it to simply put more people on SC because they can?

Be careful of "the law of unintended consequences".

Your only obligation to the company on SC is to be in the vicinity of the airport starting at your SC start time. When they call you to notify you (unless you relieved them off this obligation by self-acknowledging the assignment), at that point your only obligation is to get to the airport in a safe, reasonable time frame. You are under no obligation to rush or to make an on time departure. You are under no obligation to head to the airport before your SC start time and before being officially notified of a rotation assignment.

they already are doing so. they now assign short call to every reserve who is below the monthly max. how do you not know this?
