Short call assignment......Ok, I looked in sec 23 and elsewhere in the PWA, someone clarify this example if they can do this---- I know that if your on SC, that an assigned trip has to depart inside the SC footprint. But can they call you during a SC sit, inform you of a trip that starts the next day, and take you off SC early putting you into rest?

Yes. You’re contactable, right?

Yes, don't acknowledge a trip until after your SC starts so you get your SC credit. Sometimes they will put things on your schedule during off days and during rest hoping you acknowledge it yourself during a time you are not contactable. In this case it sounds like they are removing a future SC. They can do this but still must follow the reserve assignment priorities.

Acknowledging a future assignment that’s not within the SC will not affect SCC.

You talking about the accumulated SC's up to 6, or the extra pay/SCC for an unused SC sit?

What I mean is if you are not contactable (rest, X day, vacation etc.) and you are assigned SC, wait until you are contactable during the SC to acknowledge any future assignment so the SC is counted and you get your credit. They will remove the SC if you acknowledge a trip and you will lose 1 SCC and have that SC still as an available SC.

Not sure I follow… if you are assigned short call, and they assign a trip during the short call window and simultaneously remove that short call, that’s an illegal assignment.

they would have to accomplish it in 2 steps… 1) they remove and you acknowledge you are removed from short call… 2) they run a TC identifying you as a LC pilot.

other than that I agree, once you know of an assignment stay far away from your schedule until you hit your report time for rotation or short call start

Isn’t there a place where we can find the historical monthly bid awards? Like more than 3 months back. I can’t find it.

Thanks!
