That is not at all what he said. 3 people left, we have no idea why. Most likely they all left voluntarily for other job offers, but one, two, or all three of them COULD have been fired. It's just one of the possibilities, even if it is historically rare.

You missed that I said resignations also. I don’t know why those 3 left. Others on here were posting large numbers of pilots were resigning to go to other airlines. The 3 that left could be resignations, fired, lost their medical ect.. New hires who get fired more often than not omitted something in the application process. I suspect all 3 of those were probably resignations to go to other airlines.

I think a few people misconstrued my message that Delta is not attractive and that’s an ego problem. I don’t care about anybody else’s envy. I don’t care if nobody wants to work for Delta. I made my points because the general consensus is that we are understaffed and that needs to be fixed. But if you say that the company is not part of that consensus, then I guess this whole topic is moot.
Management is doing this "hire craze" talk while not doing it to try and build excitement. Excited engaged employees will help get the job done. Apathetic pilots will exactly as much/little as it takes to not to be noticed.
Just keep those wants in mind, and communicate that to management and the union. There will never be thousands of pilots that disengage enough to get the companies attention. But should it happen anyway, ill keep everyones beers full on apathy island.

Ah, well the reason we are understaffed is management. We should definately use Deltas words against them whenever possible. They identified they were short months aho, maybe a year ago everything is blending together. The did not hire. Then they hired slowly while pretending theyd do 120 a month. Then they still didnt hire 120 and announced 200 a month. Then they didnt hire that either (unless this month is the month finally).

I seem to remember something like that from them. I need to go dig around see if I have that memo. Anyone recall?

If they want to hire 200 a month and dont, does that mean in 4 months theyre going to say "we want to hire 250" and then so on and so on. Then its a wish list. Is that the company saying, "hey how about we take care of this inflation adjustment and you give us more days at work to fix our self made staffing problem". I think its a LOT of talk and no walk from management. Get it done, or keep your wants and failures to yourself.

Lol, yeah that all happened. Then covid happened, and V retirement and then and then. My concern is 2021. At some point we all agreed it was getting better and we had to hire. Had to. Omicron came and you could excuse the company for think "here we go again" but they hired and expanded hiring mid pandemic. When i say expanded hiring i mean that as "we said we are looking to hire more" they just dont seem to want to do it. They just want to let us know they should be doing somethig

No. They haven't hired 200 a month but the last 3 months (january not included) they have hired between 175 and 185....and there is still a wait to get into the sim. I would say they are pretty close to meeting their stated goals. We'll see if they pick up post holidays because hiring during a holiday can be a tricky endeavor.
