Any employee on leisure travel should understand that the operation always comes before the free seats. Its still space available- its just space being used for a reason that is more important than Sue Ellen non-reving to wherever with her 1968 active hire date
Why would you prefer unconfirmed standby vs confirmed as a commuter? Do you prefer the ability to book a JS or would prefer to list at the gate where it's awarded at boarding time by seniority order? If I see 10 seats open a day prior, I'd rather have a confirmed seat, even if the next day there is 10 open and I'm the only standby. PS for majority of flights doesn't cost DL any more than the S1C priority you describe.

The beauty of the PSC proposal is having a contractual item the company can implement day one vs something that requires IT involvement. I'm all for soft pay improvements, but how much are we actually capturing vs what is owed? PSC is very straightforward, easy to implement and monitor. No advanced IT programming or company self reporting or API access required. Go for the wins they can be implemented easily.

Hi all. Met with Delta this morning at OBAP. Fast forward 4 hours and I’m sitting in the back of a 75 to go back to work and I got a call from a gentleman at Delta who leaves a voicemail to invite me to a “private reception” this evening.

Had we been at the gate still, I would’ve ran off. I had a great conversation this morning and hit it off, but would say I’m probably below average qualifications (no TPIC) so I’m surprised I got a call at all. Can’t do anything about it now, but what were the implications of receiving an invite for tonight? Anyone else gone to one of those?Did I just hose myself?

thanks

So what are we going to give up first this? what concession are we going to give in order to benefit some folks who knew the rules going in?(not directed at you specifically) this sounds a little bit like another thread in major that got shut down

if its free then whatever, sure ill reduce non rev seats throughout the system, but daddy d will charge an arm and a leg for this……..

”That won’t take anything away from ‘your non-rev,’ you can also buy tickets.” So as I understand it you’re not worried about NRSA as a benefit. Just clarifying your stance. I’m sure the other 83k employees will understand the fact that pilots need PSC to get to work and be ok with it.

Thats enough APC for me today.
Most commuters want something better.

I never said PSC either. I said some sort of priority for crews to work (crews = pilots & FAs). Enhancing our commuter experience when over half of us commute is something that benefits all.

How long you been here? Ever go thru a base closing? Suddenly you might find yourself a commuter one day thru one event or another. I wouldn't be so narrow minded if I were you. Look at the larger picture here.

I don't understand the mentality of "we have to give up something to get something."

Delta already turned it off. You need a coin to make the arcade work friend

No one actually knows yet besides the team involved. They’ve not done this before. You could’ve just lost a job interview opportunity or it could be a nothing burger.

Did delta say how many we’re planning on hiring in 2026?
