$1000 (Capt) and $500 (FO ) multiplied by xx number of credit hours = $$$$....this is 2nd grade multiplication with ZERO room for interpretation!
just in case you haven’t heard this before, if you increase payrates, at the next contract cycle they will just go united/american plus 1$. Then all of that raise is gone. Youd be trading in all that soft pay language for a 3 year bonus……..no bueno

Rates at all three legacies are always going to be the same (pattern bargaining)...I'm not trying to out-negotiate the other pilots groups.

And I never said anything about trading soft pay items....EDP, RR, SIT....they all stay.

But if we give the company room for interpretation....crew meals and when to reimburse....DH seats but they block all the C+....they will *always* pick the angle that benefits them to not pay us.

Huge boost in hours pay fixes that....nothing for company to "interpret".

Hell at $1000 Captain pay I'll gladly buy my own meals and buy my own leisure tickets....don't waste time trying to get company to get better ZED agreements.

If people are making it to work now, then there's no incentive for the company to change the commute policy. That means they will ask for a quid and it will probably be large. That's the reason I'm against negotiating for it. If/when it becomes an issue for the company they will alter their stance. See Covid and ATL IROPs for examples. We have PS now but pilots don't like it because of the inconvenience and the company doesn't like it and apparently will randomly deny it. Fix that problem first.

We aren't seriously wasting negotiating capital on zed agreements are we? let the tendies and 50 other employee groups that aren't union get that carrot worked out so we can just benefit from it because ZED benefits are the same for everyone

Even if we could order specific meals, it will still be crap, shelf-stable airplane food.

Just flew with a FO who had been at UAL for 2 years and they found even their crew meals were terrible. So I dont think getting their language would be a great win.
I'm on reserve and do my best not to fly much. All year long my meal choice has been beef spare ribs or beef spare ribs. At this point I hope they don't board a meal because the $10 will pay for my Frappuccino.

Delta's inadequacies should never drive negotiations. I agree that they are F-ing up nearly everything but that is a separate issue. Absolutely DO NOT incentivise poor performance by staying away from certain items. That said, pay rates seem to be the most resistant to reinterpretation and intentional errors.

question for the more knowledgeable people…

I had a rotation that carried over into August. I had to call in sick last month for that trip…

My time card show that I was sick on aug 1/2…but there’s nothing in “pay time” or “credit time”.

my credit applicable to GS says I’m below the trigger, but I know that my sick time counts as credit, but it’s not showing. I should be above the trigger right now, with around 72hrs.

If I pick a GS…will it calculate it correctly? Or do I have to wait until X day of the month, so my sick time shows as credit?

It’s just driving me crazy. lol…

Call Cs and get the carry in credit added to your sick or your September 15th check is gonna suck.

Yep. Frankly, this should be an issue with the Grievance-to-the-grievance for the MiCrew automated sick. If they can’t get the lay right, it’s not automated. I had to call on my last sick to correct the pay, as they missed all the soft pays…

That's why I've always been a "rates" guy
