No offense, but if you can get a nap in the afternoon, it isn't difficult to operate or DH at 4am and the operate an hour flight in the late evening. There is a difference between flying a 12 hour day at 4am and then the following day operating a 12 hour day ending at 2 am.

I urge you to stop judging at face value and realize that's there's more to the game just blanketly going for GSs
How exactly do you get awarded a WS if it creates a FAR conflict? Only way I can see is if you do this after PBS bids close but before bid results are in DBMS.

Which is why I voted yes this AM. Not that anyone cares 😉

no offense taken, but like I said I can't really do that and I don't think it's a good look if something happens and you voluntarily put yourself in that situation. good for these pilots if they can sleep anytime of the day, but I can't personally

That's fine. Then don't do that but that's not the argument you're making. You're effectively saying that no one should be allowed to do that because it has bad optics. I'm saying that there are no bad optics. It's almost a complete non-issue to actually work 3-4 hours a day, half in the morning and half in the late evening.

I’m in!

But then, because we’re pilots, we’ll probably argue over what is well enough! 🤣

You can pickup a trip in the current month that conflicts with a trip in the next month (FAR or actual conflict) and it will drop the trip in the next month (with no pay). Good way to free up your schedule, especially if there is a holiday early month that you can’t normally get off.

There’s also a way to drop a trip one month for a trip in another month to move things around too. Don’t remember how, been a long time since I have.

Doesn’t this require proper coverage ?
