MOU 25-05

This also. Even if you get awarded a GS, they are taking the award away hours later in some cases. We’ve even had commuters commute in for a GS to find out it was taken away and they have no trip. They are not taking 23.M.7 IA awards away.
In some categories (I believe 220 in the northeast is one), the company has filled so many pilots up via 23.M.7, that very few pilots are eligible for 23.M.7. I have complained directly to chief pilots along with others. They don’t care. The mentality is cover trips at all costs with no regard to trip coverage ladder. Just use 23.M.7 for everything. This is why calling in is happening. The company is encouraging it.
I’m livid. I would eliminate auto accept without thinking twice if we could also get rid of 23.M.7 I refuse to do an IA or GS unless it starts with a deadhead to my home airport. I’m not commuting for a trip that may or may not be there. Until this mess gets sorted out, I can go without premium pay and enjoy my boat, golf, and hockey.

Glad we got that done in such a hurry. I told you so.
(you in general APC, not you specifically)Does anyone still think QS is really coming?

We still have guys getting "rejected for legality," when there is no legality stopping the award. One friend is a line holder, hasn't called in sick, isn't on hard no fly days, no FAR violations, just rejected because...reasons.
Another friend was recently rejected for legality for a few GS. After multiple calls to scheduling they figured out that when he called in well, they put OK on the wrong line, so the system would call him for a GS, but would reject it because it didn't recognize he was well. He'll get something, but at as reserve, the missed PB days can't be compensated.
As I said elsewhere here, I don't agree with it, but I get why guys are calling. I suspect it will only get worse.

Meanwhile, pilots junior to me are on A#3, G#2, and I've gotten zero opportunities so far this month.

This is false. They do not go out in inverse seniority order. They are not inverse assignments. They are 23.M7 assigning trips coded as IA. By using 23.M.7, they can assign it to whomever they want contractually. This is why dealmaking is going on. I believe most guys are just calling and asking what trips are available since there is so much to be covered. It is what it is, but if company willing to pay triple time, they’re allowed to do it even though it’s infuriating. If you want a trip within 8 hours of sign-in, just call and ask. All they can do is say no. This is how it is until quick slips come into effect. That’s supposed to happen in Feb. As a commuter, I have no way of getting GS anymore. I’ve just accepted this is how it’s going to be. Picked up a silver this month and last month. I’ll just accept and 80 hour month for January. Not a huge deal in the big picture.
Something has to happen this sec 6, our coverage ladder is BROKEN.
