If you are going to call people out, you at least better know your own FOM. Embarassing.
The story I heard was yes carribean trip but they were wearing NF jackets (it was cold there) and the dude told them basically if it's cold enough to wear the NF then you should be wearing the horse blanket, or something to that effect

Just curious how many sick calls are getting people called or a letter. In 30+ years (knock on wood) I have never been called or questioned about sick calls. I have heard for years that people get called and have seen these "sick leave" deterrent campaigns multiple times over the years.

The fact that it took most pilots 3 years to discover how nice auto accept is still astounds me.
Then we need to inform these concerned pilots when we fly with them that:

- You can get a QHCP note (Doctor's note no longer required) via a teledoc/virtual appointment. You can do it all via chat or app through many health systems. You can even get a note from your chiropractor.

- Once you get the qhcp note, the entirety of your sick call is "verified." It doesn't matter now, but it will once the lookback calculator is turned back on. So you can make sure you're 150% "well" before returning to work, and the whole thing is verified.

- The only acceptable response from a unionized group, even if only one person got this letter, is for everyone who didn't get a letter to try harder to get one.

Here here!!!!

Still amazes me that someone can wakeup one day, break with the ranks and go to management job, and then send out trash like this. Probably wasn’t the named person’s idea but at the same time, pretty Benedict Arnold kinda stuff. Are they even really allowed fully back into the union ranks as a line pilot later, or once you’re in the management bed there you stay?

Do they ever leave the union? They're still on the seniority list.

Right. Which is such a paradox, management is definitely not on a regular union pilot’s side anymore.

Apparently by using less than 100 hours of sick time in some cases and operating well within the PWA
