And I love how they wildly inflate and assume facts not in evidence by acting like they already caught you with your hand in the cookie jar: “Continued use of Widget's absence programs in ways that do not align with the Pilot Working Agreement or Widget policies may lead to further action, including possible discipline

Unbelievably tone deaf and misguided.
Yep, the word “continued” carries a lot of weight here. This guy is openly accusing over 1000 of his peers of being liars. They’re reviewing the absences? What for? He’s already decided they’re guilty. Judge and jury, but not executioner though I’m sure he’d love to be.

Heck of a way to start his tenure. Hope we don’t forget it.

heaven forbid anyone use their earned BENEFIT from their compensation package… the South is wildly anti-labor. Did anyone in LAX get this letter?

Oh, its not just ATL. Multiple NYC pilots too. Shocking I haven't gotten it yet.

I know personally of two. I've seen the letter. That's still only a touch better than 1/10

Their goal is to reduce sick usage and it will probably work in that regard.
I think it’s been said, but my point is that this kind of thing tends to galvanize and unite the pilot group, and ends up backfiring on management. Thats why it’s misguided.

The juice really isn’t worth their squeeze, but they cannot help themselves.

Welcome to 2026 and contract openers.
Only annecdote I've heard is a CP that called out guys with no jackets that were on caribbean rotations. When informed of that, CP doubled down and said "thats only IN that destination", incorrectly.

If you are going to call people out, you at least better know your own FOM. Embarassing.
