Delta Pilot Intimidation

Bingo. Reminds me of “what’s a SIL?”
And I love how they wildly inflate and assume facts not in evidence by acting like they already caught you with your hand in the cookie jar: “Continued use of Widget's absence programs in ways that do not align with the Pilot Working Agreement or Widget policies may lead to further action, including possible discipline”
Unbelievably tone deaf and misguided.

Heck of a way to start his tenure. Hope we don’t forget it.

Yep, the word “continued” carries a lot of weight here. This guy is openly accusing over 1000 of his peers of being liars. They’re reviewing the absences? What for? He’s already decided they’re guilty. Judge and jury, but not executioner though I’m sure he’d love to be.

its neither tone deaf nor misguided, it’s very intentional. The company cannot discipline pilots for this, including putting letters in files. They know that, so they do this instead, to get as close to discipline as possible without making it actual, grievable discipline. Their goal is to reduce sick usage and it will probably work in that regard.
The juice really isn’t worth their squeeze, but they cannot help themselves.

If you are going to call people out, you at least better know your own FOM. Embarassing.
