I must not understand, because if thats what it sounds like that’s a “you are aware this is a recorded line?” and an ASAP from me for even being asked.
yup, scheduling offered to “self deviate” me on a positive space ticket on the next flight.. that would bring my rest under 10 hours, so of course they don’t offer it as a reroute. they know what they’re doing and it’s dangerous. The FARs are there for good reason

Honestly, I don't think they do know what they are doing what is even more dangerous

They definitely don't know what they're doing. That's the problem.

yes, and? We are not losing money. We are making industry leading profits. The operation suffered from last year’s 100ish year birthday celebration, now adjustments are being made. It was a stupid decision to stop hiring and they learned from their mistake. (and made me money as a consequence) We can’t control any of that so enjoy the $$$ knowing they have identified the problem and are fixing it. We are and will continue to be the industry leaders despite their bumbling. House of cards was an interesting comment. Maybe consider being the first to quit and get out before the collapse to be senior to all the Delta pilots who end up at AA.

Don't lose perspective here.
My perspective is fine, the sky is not falling. Christmas iCrew crash, cloud strike, even covid among countless other examples of difficulties and yet Delta still exists and remains the industry leader. It will be OK. In the meantime we will extract a ton of value from their foolishness.

Do you dispute that from our perspective, the operation was peak or near-peak in 2018? Heck, even 2015 or 16 had a Profit sharing of 16% (though admittedly, the number of employees does dilute the post-covid PS %, since they hired 20,000 more people). Even management would probably say 2019 was peak.
Operational reliability, sure. Peak as a company, an employer, in pilot pay… no. My profit sharing checks have been reliably consistent in dollars with the reduction in %. That’s a function of my wage doubling (more accurately delta’s payroll) We all want to be better operationally and adjustments are being made. We didn’t get here overnight and we won’t get better overnight. Enjoy the summer cash cow. I already got my number so I’ll be doing everything to not work and enjoy life. More for the rest. R-E-L-A-X

I recently told scheduling 10 hours behind the door and heads exploded. 8 sleep opp, plus food, plus getting ready in the am. Then I added :45 for travel each way and the total was 11:30. They fought me on it when I said no :30 minute push. I showed exactly when I said I would and we were 20 minutes late. So from my experience 12 hours release to scheduled push is about right.

“Looting phase of the empire” vibes.

(Not a critique. If I were newer and younger I’d be extracting every possible penny)

That whole "Reduced report time" needs to go away. Never in my career have I agreed to that nonsense. If anything happened the question would be, "You normally report 60 minutes prior, but that day you reported 30 minutes prior, so ..."

If we can report 30 minutes prior after an IROP, why don't we make 30 minutes prior the standard?

Not to mention I want the revised departure time published for all to see so I don't get to the gate with a fully boarded aircraft with every wondering where the pilots are.

Maybe looting but I see it as the tit for tat of the chosen path of the empire. They extract then we extract, etc. The PWA negotiation was what I was getting at but whatever.
