12 hours release to report as the default seems reasonable to me. Or carve out a mid option where there are still food options around , but does not have to be downtown.
I think 15 is too long for an airport hotel, but that’s just my opinion.

it would be nice to have a large survey on all things hotels and layovers. I’ve emailed the hotel committee a few times to see if we could have a massive survey, and also put it down in my contract survey. 14 hours, somewhere in there, let’s figure out a new number. Of course there will be the deviations for exceptions. But I think the bigger thing we have to look at is what is downtown? I would love to see more like Bellevue, Scottsdale, Annapolis, etc. Our once great cities aren’t what they used to be. Let’s find quite a few more nice suburban areas to use for long layovers.
