I think I heard/read that the 9 month seat lock for going from the 88 to the 90 is gone now. No seat lock for that move.

They just very recently did away with the requirement of going to the sim for differences training when moving M88 to M90. Talked to a guy yesterday going to SLC who said all he had to do was a differences training CD and that was it. Not sure if this removes the 9 month seat lock or not.

How about some latest and greatest from Delta... Anybody know the aircraft/location drop at today's (4 Feb) indoc?
|
Dude...class hasn't even started yet.
Easy with it Moriarty. |
Professor,
Are you waiting for a class, been through one, or just surfing the ether passing out wisdom? |
I'm on the ER in JFK.
Let me know if I can help. |
Thanks Professor,
I expect to be there after my 18 Feb indoc. |

Anyone know if this is a good idea? Been told there were more differences between the -88 and -90 than between the 757 and er' the 777. The -88 is already a big airplane with a little wing, the -90 is a bigger airplane with the same wing. Electrical, fuel, engines, eh' I think I might want to try it on in the box before flying the line.

iaflyer,
this is my understanding as well. i am under the impression that the only way you incur a seat lock is if you see the schoolhouse during your conversion. MD90 diff's or Intl Ops GS and sims is a 9monther...any new type is a two year lock. however, StripAlert is smarter than I am, especially about this stuff, so I would take it at face value until proven otherwise. the professor |
Agreed, on all counts.
