As one who has got about 1,100 hours in it, I will attest that the B-1 is not a POS. While deployed overseas it maintained a 97% mission capable rate.
2 to taxi Leaves 1 to take-off Although it is pretty cool to see they now do "close air support" with JDAMs from 30,000 ft. |

Sorry, but the Blue Angles never flew theF-14, or F-16. They went from the F-4, to the A-4, to the F-18.
Blue Angels: Historical Aircraft - 60+ Years of Aviation Excellence Those later pics of F-16s with "Navy" on them are "Aggressors", either at Fallon, Nellis, or Wherever Top Gun is now. Aggressor squadron - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia B-17 = Boeing P-51 = North American Just sayin. |

You guys are kidding, right?
It's a B1  Hook, line, sinker. As they do their duo, I can just picture some anal retentive usafa grad squirming in his seat while reading it. That alone makes me laugh about it. |

One of my CFII's flew 104s for the Gemermans. He told me, if you lost the engine, look over the canopy rail- straight down- that's where you'd be landing. He also told me about getting 'parchuted' candy from the C54s (?) on short final during the Berlin air lift. Great guy.

RIP Neil Armstrong. The true definition of a beyond world class pilot and astounding humility. http://c.o0bg.com/rf/image_960w/Bost...NG-1520701.jpg Like many of you I was completely enthralled with the Apollo program as a boy, and it was probably my prime motivation for both the military and a flying career. Apollo and Neil were larger than life, and a testament to what this nation is capable of achieving. God Speed Neil Armstrong. |

I'm always chatty. You should've met me instead. I'd be chatty.
But that'd be neat to meet Buzz Aldrin. Or Newk. Or Buzzpat. Or BuckingBar. Or Boomer. Or Timbo. Or 80ktsclevage. Or ACL. Or... this might go on a long long while. And I'd like to see a Navy B-1. http://www.planephotography.co.uk/im...llonF16S_1.jpg |

That alone makes me laugh about it. he could be squirming as he looks up at his gigantic poster, the one he hung in his dorm room in Annapolis, of all seven of the Thunderbirds in their classic Delta formation: http://www.flightglobal.com/airspace...-formation.jpg I mean who doesn't look at that without getting a little misty eyed and saying "be all you can be!!!" |

Hey Timbo, you should run for Congress and fix these things. Be like Chip Cravaack, the former NWA Captain who beat 18-term Congressman James Oberstar in 2010 in Minnesota.
But then I'd be a fkning politician! Nothing can get fixed that the Lobbiests don't want fixed, and they like it the way it is right now. When money talks, politicians listen. Oh, and now that Corporations are Peple too...well, what chance do we the people have, to have our voices heard, when it comes to campaign contributions? |

All of this military talk reminds me of all that I missed out on while flying the
http://airlinergallery.nl/e145cont.jpg Beech 1900C for Delta Express. We didn't even have an autopilot in those things. But you know, it was during those times flying in and out of our in Cleveland, looking out over the mountains, that I had my most religious experiences. I'd harken back to those first verses in the beginning of the Bible, Exodus chapter 12, and recite them: "And John the Baptist said, once upon a time..." |
