So they are now calling 'economy comfort' a separate class, sounds like a marketing thing.
I've sat in those seats when deadheadding, they are the exact same coach seats that everyone behind you is sitting in, with no additional meal or drink service, same as coach. I guess if you have really long legs, you'd pay extra for that, but otherwise, I see little difference than all the other coach seats. But then some people stand in a long line for a $5 cup of coffee too. Also they charge more for the seats. |
Note new but still good news

There was some article on it not long ago, said it's kind of a scary ride with that thing on it's back. Vibrations or something. Sigh... I left myself open. Yes, Bar, it's like flying on the 88. :D BTW, to our previous conversation about the C208. Was the 208A well powered with it's stock engines? I saw those that TPE 900 shp and the PT6-42 208B engine that made those things performers. Maybe it's not the underpowered death trap/ice bucket I say it is. May not be a bad lotto plane after all. Especially with TKS. |
frankly, with hiring, if we're transferring flying from DCI to mainline then we should be hiring no matter what the economy is doing, eh? Starting this year to prepare for the pending transfer of flying.

The thing people seem to keep forgetting is that we are overstaffed, and have been for the last couple years.

We have not been overstaffed for summer flying. The manning formula and actual desired staffing are not the same number. We get 16 717's next year. They all however come late in the year and in service dates could be as late as Nov.
