Here's an airplane picture to stick to the DL&G theme.

I googled "cool Navy plane" and found this pair of F-14s. They must be going slow to refuel because their wings are swept forward.

Someday I want to fly the MD-88 so I can be cool like Tom Cruise and Denzel.

Dude, those are obviously F-18's. Look at the refueling probe.

They modeled Denzel's character after newK, except newK doesn't need the cocaine (he does require the beer) and they would have landed on a runway without any incident.

Also, newK can make a dc-9/md-88/whatever fuel dump. The plane wets itself when he yells.

Prayers for the officers.

Unfortunately crashed doesn't mean hard landing in this case. The news was showing the parts of the helicopter on fire. 2 APD officers were killed.

as for the last picture, that little girl is mad.. . it's not an 88.

actually screaming like a little girl was me at 5am when the kids got up. getting that extra hour meant nothing in my house.

If you want to be happy, don't hang around with unhappy people.

See you boys next month.

This should get a vote as the post of the decade. Its beyond true. You really wonder why so many bitterly unhappy people stick around.
I had a recent trip that really cracked me up. A recent new hire FO proceeded to lecture the other very senior FO on everything he and DALPA had done wrong. Then he jumped in on the terrible burden the pay cuts DALPA had just given away caused him. I was about to chime in on that when when the senior FO let loose. I think his statement was something like "Paycuts! What ****ing paycuts. All you have gotten is one raise after another plus a lump sum payment to front load your retirement! You have not taken a dime in paycuts. At that point I had to break things up because it was getting far to heated. I always find it amusing however when people who were not even there try and reinvent history and explain it to people who actually lived it. Reminds me of a quote a very funny NY Captain made in the lounge last year.
"I am not junior enough to know everything!"
