The 35% is merely to guarantee interviews, and it cost absolutely nothing to put in the contract, and Delta has hired higher thn that percentage traditionally anyway... And also Because we belong to union and supporting your fellow dues paying members is good policy.

I have no problem with the terms of the proposed bridge agreement.
What's troubling is that the Pinnacle Bridge agreement was negotiated without input or feedback from Delta ALPA.
Essentially this is about the scope of our Union.
Is Delta ALPA the exclusive bargaining agent representing pilots towards Delta management,
or can any other pilot group walk up and cut their own deal with Delta management?

Signatories to the Pinnacle bridge agreement:
Richard H. Anderson
Delta Air Lines CEO
Captain Donald L. Moak
ALPA President
John Spanjers
Pinnacle Airlines President
Captain Tom Wychor
Pinnacle MEC Chairman
No DALPA representative present....
This is a really bad precedent and in violation of ALPA national policy.
We had to show them ours, they are equally required to show us theirs...
Again this is a concessionary contract with another pilot group that is being sold to that group with promises made by Delta to those pilots.
If this occurs unchallenged at Pinnacle, what will stop Delta from proceeding similarly with say the Virgin Atlantic pilots...

Do we know for a fact that the MEC and or the NEC was not consulted,
Yes DALPA was not consulted.
do they have to be a signatory?
Apparantly not.
Via the 35% possible hire of former ALPA pilots, does that possibly give that approval. Do we really think that Moak would sign on if he had not consulted TO?

As others have noted, the fact that DALPA was circumvented is a direct violation of our contract, as well as the ALPA National Policy Manual. It is not acceptable, and sets a very bad precedent.
EVERYONE needs to write their Rep on this issue.
Just to reiterate, it has been verified that DALPA was in no way consulted during this process.
We got Moak'd by Moak, so to speak.
