when we make mistakes in the airplane--whether intentional or not--there are consequences. the company itself must be held accountable, just like we are. the award was published before it was ready. That's Delta's mistake. Delta needs to honor the more favorable awards from both runs, and eat whatever green slips result. ALPA should be there to make sure Delta is held accountable... not just to hold Delta's hand. |
Hey, is flightinfo's General Lee on this forum?

To be honest, that's not totally true. I've screwed up a lot more than once. |

I screwed up once and was to high/fast and had to go around on a MD-11. I don't know how much money that cost Delta, but I wasn't fired, fined or even chastised. Sometimes a mistake is just a mistake and no one needs to be punished.

"Punishment" and "accountability" are not synonyms.
Or are you saying the company should be "punished?" BTW, I'd guess there is someone in IT that didn't have a very pleasant day today. |

Wasn't the mistake owned up to? That is accountability.

Whatever happened to Meg Ryan? Is she still out there?
