Boy are you a piece of work! So unless someone rants and raves and complains about the status quo they are complacent and ridiculing those with a different opinion....I am so thankful that you don't represent a majority of those working here. Did you even bother to consider the possibility that his post was genuine?

Why don't you just go back to the Alpa forum with all the constructive conversation that happens there...

Purple,

For the record I want changes for the better also but you also must be realistic about the industry we work in and our direct competitors. We don't exist in a vacuum and have not had any help from our peers anywhere. Even swa. What have they negotiated since the ch11 train started rolling? They are just trying to hang on. I don't see any answers from you just complaints. What have YOU done to better our situation? At least Acl65 put his money where his mouth is. I see on the Alpa board the same *****er and moaners that were there at Nwa, and it's probably safe to assume some are on here. Of those the only one that has ever put himself out there is JF in dtw. While not elected he at least tried. So purple, I ask you what have YOU done? Because *****ing on an anonymous webboard ain't cutting it.

Read that the same way. Didn't see a snide comment there either.

This thread has become quite acidic lately with all the personal attacks. I include myself in that at times, but all in all we are working at one of the better run airlines of today and I know plenty of fellow pilots who would love to have the problems some of our pilots gripe about.
I'm all for raising the bar, but I don't intend on becoming a stubborn, combative cynic in the process.

I wasn't aware that DCI was flying 737's........

I have no problem with some complaining but really???? The whole "woe is us" routine starts getting old.

Here is to you career FO! Those west coast 737's aren't being flown by Delta. Does it matter whether its DCI or Alaska? Waiting for a loud pop from the ATL crowd...

Directions to the calculators are on page 4 or 5. They're excel attachments to the pdf file. Pretty useful spreadsheets that are very well thought out.

That being said, his point is very valid....we have quite a way to go on toward getting vacation where it should be, IMHO. It's kind of sad that it would take two whole weeks of vacation to get to that point on resv. I guess I'm a glass half-full on this topic--I look at it as to how much resv I have left on my plate in a month when I take a week of vacation--it doesn't add up to much, really.

Fine... whatever. I am looking at being able to maximize what we have available to us right now. If you guys want to whine about how much better SWA has it than we do, by all means fire away. Don't forget to put something in there about having to wear a uniform or a hat too so you get the trifecta. I know how to scroll past those posts.
