I can't say I have ever been back country hiking with the gold bond as shiznit. However, I have never been attacked by any gallay cougars, on a sniff mission. I had a close call onetime from a hyena who was working the "A" position. I am pretty sure I was not so much special, rather just a piece of decaying dc-9 meat that turned the hyena on.

Was on a layover this week and we waited 15 minutes for one of the FA's to hobble through the airport. She was in the top 100. Captain decides this is an issue and calls a few people to see what the deal is. The FAA requires that they be able to operate the door to provide an exit for passengers and provide verbal instructions for using that exit. They are not required to do anything else, just operate the door and yell at passengers. ????
Did you see the pictures of those 90 pound Asiana gals packing passengers on their backs? There is no question that if that airplane had old grannies on it, a few more wouldn't have made it. I know we have some of the best FA's in the industry, but we do have some that need to hang it up and knit some crap for their great grand kids.

They still have their pensions and medicare kicks in at 65, plus social security. The real reason they stay is the super seniority they have. What other job can you make 60k per year by working 8 days per month (only 5 days 5 of those months) with 5 weeks vacation, paid personal leave, sick time and non rev bennies? Oh, and on those domestic turns, you're in your own bed every night. For passing out cokes and reading people magazine the rest of the time. Stop building them 11 hour day turns and you'd see 3000 of them put in retirement papers the same day.
