Who gives a flying flip what the plane looks like. Lets leave SJS at the regionals.

Just excited at the prospect of not pulling a UAL and going 100% 737rehash for the narrowbody fleet. :)

I always wondered what a bucking bar was... now I know, and knowing is half the battle!

Your just jealous because (1) it's roomy (2) you can actually fit two jumpseaters(as opposed to none) plus everyone's luggage (3) one doesn't risk ACL tears or skull fractures when entering/exiting the seat (4) communication can occur speaking with a library voice in all phases of flight.

That's a few I can think of. ;) :D

Don't forget almost Douglas worthy crappy ventilation in the cockpit in the summer on the 737!

Thought it was more than flipping a switch, believe its a software change.

I was told (several years ago-before the 737-900 order) that it was basically just a document that had to be signed and certified by airbus (for several thousands per aircraft). Believe the aircraft is already capable.

You are correct that they aircraft have the appropriate software updates to do RNP... they've had it for years.

If we ordered aircraft from them, they were going to include that for free. Otherwise around 15-20 grand per airplane!

Yeah imagine no outsourcing and 300 of those on property to handle the "small" stuff. But why control your product from top to bottom and left to right?
