MD88 - nothing works right, Delta still trying to reengineer the thing, now with a totally new flight deck ... most interesting
737 - near supersonic ground hog, like mounting a 757 fuselage on Beechcraft Duke ... really interesting
C Series - Best airplane that's never flown and which is already generating an international trade dispute despite the fact no one is buying it + French-Canadian government blackmail nonsense ... mesmerizing

Not trying to play "I know more than you"....everything I heard was 3rd hand info; that's why I encouraged finding out from a source that was there. Basically 321's a done deal and still awaiting either 777 or 330's. The 330's may be used. Again, if someone was at presentation and could post it would be a lot more relevant than my info...

According to aupilot it is a far inferior product to any Asian or raghead carrier. Why would you subject yourself to that abuse?

An inferior product is an idiotic statment to make, however most large Asian, Middle Eastern, and European carriers do offer a better first class product in contrast to most American carriers. I'm glad to see Delta is attempting to improve that overall product and experience. When I first started here in the ER I remember seeing the single screen projectors in coach with one or two movies playing and what I would consider less-than-accommodating first class flight attendant service.

To that, my biased opinion is that I trust American carriers and their pilots over most foreign carriers any day of the week. To many high profile incidents and accidents that ultimately came down to a lack of hands on flying experience with these foreign carriers of as late.

I remember when we actually had a "First Class", Business and Coach, for a total of 3 classes.

We don't have First Class anymore, they got rid of it years ago, along with removing most meal service from domestic coach. They went to Business Class and Coach.

Now they seem to be trying to claim a 3 Class Service again, by simply adding a couple rows of Economy Comfort, regular coach, plus Business Class. But I am reminded by my senior Mama's on nearly every trip, Delta does not offer a true First Class Service.

And there was once a time when people would actually dress to fly, not flip flops and ragged shorts.......

Hey guys, slow down and make sure to read the notes on the flight plan. Sometimes they are important. Like a Capt, FO and dispatcher missing a note to NOT send an aircraft to a certain city with an inop APU. Note has been on the flight plan since June 23rd. Many pax missing connections.

I love working here and hope those middle eastern carriers fizzle out too but your sticking your head in the sand if you think their product doesn't trump ours everyday of the week. I have seen both and been in our best product for quite a few crossings. We should definitely be concerned. I think one of the most difficult things for us to fix will be those senior mamas that hate their jobs but will continue to come collect a paycheck and try and keep score on how many high value customers they honked off today.
