This is another thing I'd like to see changed back. I understand OOB WS being behind an in base reserve who wants the trip (in base pilots should have priority,) but being behind a reserve who DOESNT' want to fly?

I agree. The problem is that when we went to the RAW system a few years ago (and then the bucket system on top of that) there really isn't a "high yellow" anymore. The old high yellow truly elevated you to the top of the reserve list above all reserves who didn't have a high yellow in. Now a high yellow only lowers your RAW by 15 points, which really means that you have a slightly higher chance of being awarded a trip than before, but only that.

I would like to see the old way return as well; sounds like a good issue to remind your reps about.

Got Hammered for an RJ fowl up!

Saw this on the recent Delta Flight Ops Comm email:

"We boarded in Detroit headed to Saginaw, MI, buckled in, lights were turned down and we proceeded to sit for 20-30 minutes at the gate. There was apparently an issue with the plane yet the pilots and attendant provided little to no information or updates. This was extremely frustrating and likely dictated lower overall scores from me."

After checking Travel net over the next week there are no mainline flights that we operate to Saginaw! Only RJs. Glad management is hammering us for lack of PA's on RJs. Yikes.

Oops. Guess C-17 pilots aren't alone on this.

UNBELIEVABLE! Why isn't DALPA wadding this insulting POS up and tossing it back at MGMT? What a slap in the face!

Isn't the Dreamlifter operated by Atlas? Boeing also getting hammered for outsourced flying.

How do you know they are not? Have you spoken with someone "higher up" at the Delta MEC offices? Ever heard of praise in public, criticize in private?

Just because ALPA doesn't issue a press release or blastmail that states displeasure with an action by the Company doesn't mean they aren't doing something about it.

My bad. I guess it's the same time frame as short call. Point being, you can't pick one up way in advance. Someone mentioned one awarded 2 days out, that was probably an Africa trip, time to get the Malarone in your system.

My wish list is for those of us who live in base to be able to swap with the pot closer in than 0700 day prior. People rarely call in sick that far out. Last month I watched NY based guys pick up 2 of our sweetest trips, FCO and MUC.
