I should clarify. I want holiday pay. And I don't think we should have to give something up for it. I was simply pointing out that while RAH pilots receive holiday pay, they do not receive CX pay. If I had to choose I'd rather have CX pay. But I want both.

I know what we agreed to when we got hired, but maybe this is a perfect time to fight for this!!

I'm a line holder, I try and duty in but screen says no pairing to duty in for. I check my schedule and he pairing I'm suppose to do is NOOP! I look in open time and my chopped up pairing is in open time with no pilot assigned to it. I haven't been notifies by scheduling of anything, what are my obligations?

How early did you sign in?

0700ish so my understanding of the "lawyer speak" is I'm to be available for 6hrs.

So I'm reserve this month and line holder next. I was on the one day reserve list and got assigned a two day for tomorrow. There was a one day that went out to a GS # 6. Scheduling said they can fly someone into the next month if they are reserve to line holder. I am trying to figure out why I didn't get the one day and the two day go to a GS.

We were going to do Thanksgiving on Sunday since I was on call, but the worst part is I will have to record the Iron Bowl.

I highly suggest screen shots and or getting all the data for the rotations; that sucks, maybe the contractual legality can be questioned.

I've talked to quite a few pilots who got paid some good coin recently when scheds did incorrect reroute/recovery.

just wondered how much before the trip started you signed in.and full pay for the trip.

the ALPA scheduling folks have read access to DBMS and can see exactly what happened to your schedule, and when. I'd give them a call on Monday.

I'd also call the skeds to ask their version--don't argue, but a couple of questions won't hurt. If it sounds fishy, ask for the supervisor.

If they dropped the trip with pay for some reason, you should be able to WS/GS for more $.

Sorry, I don't know why but that's legal. That is why it's important to have the last day of the month off if you are on reserve. At least you will be back for Sunday dinner.

My guess is the two day GS would have cost the Company more than the one day GS. They will be paying you single pay. I bet it was a question of which one was cheaper.

How is that relevant? I'm sure flight ops wanted to order 500 widebodies and raise our pay 300%. But that mean old BoD said "no."

You seem like pretty smart guy, so I'm surprised you bite on this entry-level, scripted psychological ploy; basically, a "good cop/bad cop" game.

It doesn't matter what flight ops "wants." All that matters is the end result: what's in our paychecks and how many days off we have.
