Prior to the AU game Cade Foster was 11/12 on FG attempts. Admittedly, he was bad against AU, especially that hook shot.

Vacation liquidation is not new? Not the latest? Better off not discussed?

Best if the dull witted line pilots just let DALPA think for us without thought or input.

After all we are getting a 3% pay increase January 1st. This coupled with a 33% reduction in profit sharing, increased medical costs and inflation equals a pay cut. Even a sharp DALPA guy like you can do that math.

But the good news for guys like you is the fact that Delta can afford to increase Chief Operating Officer Steve Gorman's pay 60.8%. (of his non bankruptcy pay)

When I read your posts all I can think is you must be one of the DALPA first officers getting 92 hours of captain pay plus $1000 a month plus all meal expenses. Must be nice.

He missed the easily first one, the hook shot, and the one into the line that was called a block. That's why I think he was surprised. :D

Yep, his FG's looked eerily similar to my tee shots. A push to the left then a hook.:p

I'm with NERD. I'd rather have nothing than a half-ass gesture. I already know it's Thanksgiving, and I don't need a poster and a sack lunch to make being at work suck more. Apparently the "me-too" clause (FA buffet) is a one-way (or should I say, wrong way) street when it comes to us.

And while I'm at it...is anyone else put off by the yearly requests for holiday tips, I mean, contributions, for the CPO staff? Apparently they haul in several hundred bucks each. Sure, they replenish the ear plug dispenser, and often help us when we need it...occasionally even cheerfully. but that is why they are being paid.

Bah, humbug.

…one of our flight attendants showed us the pictures she took of the FULL BUFFET (Turkey, dressing, pumpkin pie, etc.) they had in the flight attendant lounge at the same time.

I brushed it off, because I thought she might have been playing a joke on us.

But, now all I can say is: Really?

Did the flight attendants really have a buffet in JFK the day before Thanksgiving, too?

I know this is a loaded statement and I'll probably get slack for it....I'm sure there was a time when management over-catered to pilots and spoiled them, but know we have gone so far in the opposite direction it's pathetic.

I had the holiday off, but regardless, it would've been nice for the company to go a little above the menial gesture of providing a meal for pilots who had to work over the holiday.
A nice, hot buffet served by a manger from the chief pilot's office would be much more genuine of gesture as opposed to a brown bag filled with a constructive-engagement turkey and good faith mashed potatoes. Granted it is the thought that counts, but sometimes it's also the degree of effort.

His poor performance is going to make for an interesting discussion for who should be in the national championship game, if Ohio State loses to Michigan State. :D

The Delta pilots' "Me Too" clause will correct this!

Oh wait...

After two long haul flights where they could have loaded crew meals on then, I had a few buffalo wings at the hotel bar when I got to my layover on Thanksgiving. I was grateful that they were open.

I'm also grateful that I'm not carrying those extra 3-5 pounds everyone is complaining about after this weekend. :D

I guess we are strong enough to pull people up, but too heavy to be lifted.
