Does his numbers include the 330's and 321's coming?

Is there a pay rate for the 321 yet?

You really think an informational picketing session at the white house would be allowed by the corrupt .gov? We're talking about the .gov that prevented people from going to their homes during the shutdown because they were located on federal land/parks.

Not to mention the 47%+ in this country that pay no fed taxes or get free stuff from the .gov caring about the "rich" airline pilots, or simply being able to realize the adverse effects those policies have on all the middle class. Dancing with the stars is on tv and there are bags of .gov paid-for processed food on the table. Good luck.

Calling on ALPA, APA, SWAPA to issue a Nationwide SOD and shut it down. Lobbying has been tried and failed.
You think any of those organizations are going to call a nationwide sod and shut it down? Once again, good luck with that. If it hasn't happened by now with everything that has occurred over the last 12+ years (the gutting of our pensions for one), it never will. And how many times have the usual suspects in this thread said something along the lines of "But that would be illegal/outside of the RLA...Good luck getting the nlrb to agree to that"? Do you really think they are going to defy the .gov/RLA and declare a nationwide shutdown?

If we don't stop this NOW...it's too late.
Newsflash: it already is too late. The middle class in this country have sat back for too long and allowed everything that is coming to fruition to happen. We have nobody to blame but ourselves. Nafta, the outsourcing of jobs, American citizen jobs being replaced by H1B's, TARP/bank/auto bailouts with our tax money, illegal aliens, federal reserve policies (including the current QE), the forced purchase of a product from a private company (healthcare) or pay a fine, the ever expanding size and price of the .gov....add any number of events [here].

The .gov and politicians in this country are bought and paid for. And contrary to what some believe, Imho alpa pac is but a pittance in that race, even at full membership participation. To quote George Carlan: "its a big club and we ain't in it."

IMHO you should take the advice given in your last sentence. I definitely agree with your premises, but the reality is far different as to what can/will actually happen in this country at this time in it's history.

2015- 15 757
2016- 13 757
2017- 22 757 4-767

Over the next 4 years we lose 64 757 and 4 767 airframes. In addition we retired 16 757 airframes in 2013. No other aircraft types were listed for retirement. We should gain around 205 airframes over that period. Net gain 135 plus airframes.

That would be a lot of extra pilots needed, yet I do not see that happening. Seeing as there are a lot of older A320's and MD80's, I am betting on your "135" not materializing.

You don't see it because your irrational anger has caused emotional blindness.

It's the schedule as of today. As I posted it can change. As of today the plan is to keep all the 88's and 320's at least through 2017.

I've heard there is an AD out for the MD-80 series aircraft which requires installing a nitrogen generation system for the center fuel tank. American says it will effectively ground the type by 2019 due to the cost. I wonder if the MD-88 avionics upgrades have been put on hold due to this? Not sure when the AD was issued...

It's either that or he hasn't been paying attention. The mainline fleet has grown by 26 aircraft in 2013, the number of furlough bypass pilots has gone from 203 to 23, the number of pilots on MLOA has gone from 224 to 145. All in a reduction of non bid category pilots of 259. We also had 400 new captain bids and now that all the furlough bypass pilots have been offered class dates, we have new hires joining the list.
