I'm guessing it's in our long term interest for it to stay in the 320 category (probably has to, for it to make sense to operate), but pay according to seats/payload.

I don't see why we can't have one variant of 320 pay above a variant of 757.

The more we band pay, the more we seem to get screwed, and the least able to capture benefit from incremental payload/seats in newer airplanes.

So does RA. Should be no problem to negotiate it. It would be amusing (in a sad sort of way) to see both sides trying to hide their giddiness.

If the 321s are slated for delivery starting in 2016, why the hurry to paint the lines at the gate? Although, that gives us plenty of time to negotiate a PROPER rate for this plane. No rush required.

I dont get it, maybe I'm reading something wrong. I thought the UAL guys got screwed. 2005 Cal hire mixed in with the 1997 UAL hire? THere is a post on their thread that the OP (CAL 2005 or 06 hire) states he was a junior in college in 1998 and his instructor (UAL 2000 hire) is a couple thousand numbers below him.

Maybe I read the list wrong, but a lot of post 9/11 CAL guys (might of started flying after 9/11) are ahead of the pre9/11 UAL guys.

This biz is cut throat.

No, these things have all come true. We are already growing. We are already hiring. The aircraft have been ordered. Delivery and orders are two different things.
