forgot to bid 02-08-2014 06:22 PM

So a lot of the Olympic commercials at my house have been on mute, but I keep seeing this commercial of a Navy flight line as it progressed through the years. The F-4 btw, looks awesome.

But are they saying the 1970s F-14 was replaced by the 1980s F-18 which is now being replaced by the... F-117? GO NAVY!

Did Boomer write this ad? :D

Most junior pilot on this bid in SLC 320 B was 5/2000 and SLC 73N B was 2/2001. Doesn't help us who were displaced years ago trying to get back home. We need widebody growth. We won't see that growth until delivery of the 330's in 2015. Meantime, expect more displacements off the -ER in the fall according to the latest Crew Resources letter.

Yep, five years ago (when I got displaced off the NY 7ER) I held the MD in SLC. Now, five years later, I can't hold anything in SLC. Oh, congrats to all the new captains, by the way

Did I mention on this last AE, with all that great FO advancement, I actually lost two numbers in MSP?

Hey FTB, nice work on the SD and the Touch and Go's.

There you have it boys. Clearly the implication was if we voted yes, they would begin hiring in the fall of...

2012!

They only missed it by what, 13 months?

And I love the Curling emoticons! Too funny!

Keep up the great work FTB.

Oh, and don't forget to bid for March! You've only got three more days.

Except I think the company said they were going to start posting AE's for the 330's this summer….

You can see their plan is coming together. Even though I might be one of them, I don't think there will be too many displacements off the 7er category.

May I suggest ATL717A? I think the 717Bs would enjoy having you as our fearless leader of men.

Great Job, Forgot to Bid.

I agree the clear implication of Delta and DALPA was that they would begin hiring in fall of 2012 if we voted for the contract.

Agreed! I think we've seen the last displacements for a while. Guys junior in more senior categories will of course continue to experience some stagnation was senior guys bid into those positions as AEs open it up. Heck, ATL 330 B went to a guys that could hold ER captain.

Not complaining, but it would really be nice if they start replacing some of those guys that are retiring from the "super premium" positions. When's the last time we saw a 777 vacancy? That's what truly causes the venturi effect through the list.

If they aren't going to do it, Timbo, I will fake you out with the utmost of precision stepping off a curb. :D We can make those vacancies happen together!
