Anyone else get sick of hearing about DALPA/company hiring promises from C2012?

That horse ain't getting back up.

"Straight pay for the trip". Scheduling supervisor was clear. You are correct. I have had the opposite experience on more than one occasion

I like to bring it up to remind us that we ought not blindly buy into the company's/DALPA's propaganda in the future.

Help please.

I was awarded a green slip two day trip on reserve in January that went out on the last day (x day). It started as a one leg DH then layover. Day 2 was 7:37 of flying and I was a schedule holder in that month. I know I get 2:00 of pay on day one with a payback day.

What do I get paid for day 2?

4 phone calls later I'm still not sure

What does your time card say?
You should however get 2 hours on top of the reserve guarantee and a payback day. Use that PB day wisely and you can get 8 hours out of it. The regular line day pays double.

Yeah, those 400 captain awards didn't really happen and the mainline fleet isn't really growing.

I certainly didn't choose whether to vote yes or no based on one sentence about hiring. C2012 had probably hundreds of changes - and while I was in the bottom 800 (so hiring was definitely a positive for me) it didn't change my vote. There were so many other things to look at.

Quick, hit it with a shovel.

Do tell, how much hiring did it predict in 2013? Or did it predict a staffing impact?

FEBRUARY AE AWARD AND THE NEXT AE
The January 2014 AE bid award was posted on February 4. The goal of the AE was to adjust staffing for the 2014 summer operation, with our primary focus on the 7ER First Officer position. The AE award resulted in 296 AEs, 25 reinstatements and no displacements. On the bid we posted 50 7ER First Officer openings and filled 36 leaving 14 unfilled. ATL had six 7ER-B unfilled positions and DTW had eight. Other unfilled positions included: ATL73NB (6), DTW73NB (2), NYC73NB (31), DTW320B (5), NYC320B (13), ATLM88B (22), NYCM88B (19) and ATL717B (8). These positions will be filled by new hires and posted on future bids.

IOW another 321 pilots moving up or into categories they'd rather be and zero being displaced. :D
